here are the pics of the official tech training book
One small cool thing I like in the Spec is the "REAR" Wiper, Thats just plan Cool.........
Looking better then I thought It would....The Specs are Great !!
Can any one Come up with some 0 to 60 times Base on the weight and the HP for a ball park number ??

assuming 271 hp, 3250 lbs
0-60 should be right around 5.1 to 5.3 sec
WRX 227 HP, 3100 lbs = 5.7 sec
911 C4 320 HP, 3190 lbs = 5.0 sec (this should be faster, but the porshe is set up pretty soft and the gearing is pretty damn tall)

Based on a 1/4 mile calculator, the theoretical results I got from it are as follows:
Weight 3298 lb 1/4 mile 14.24 sec.
Weight 3263 lb 1/4 mile 14.19 sec.
Remember! This is theoretical. There are far too many factors involved that could make times quicker in the real world. (enter the stats of a JDM Evo VII and in real life it's much faster then what is calcutated) I'm still sticking to my mid to high 13's prediction. Here's the link if you want to play around with the numbers.

after processing all this information (thanks again to fireball and superz) I decieded to look through old car mags.
guess what R&T lists as the Evo7 base weight? 3260 lbs. I know R&T isn't the end all for auto mags but they are the best in the US imo. Considering that the R&T test of the Evo7 was the first and only (besides the one in SuperStreet - which is an entertaining mag, but that's it) US mag to test an evo, I am starting to feel a little better about the projected weight of the Evo8.

I find that difficult...no wait...I'm having "impossibility" glaring in my consciousness. There will have to be standard L/S belt...are you saying that Mitsu is going to strap a 5-point into every car? (in addition?!?)
I know that you just took the class...but I think your instructor needs to recheck the specs. I'm just not buying it.
As far as the rest of the vehicle...I thought we were losing the AYC/ACD to have the 6-speed. Now I see that it's just because were the USDM. Kinda lame
I have a question for all:
The manual says you can only run snow chains on the rear wheels...what's that about??? Is it likely just a clearance issue or is it a differential-induced prob? Thx

If you don't believe then I don't know what to tell you. That is just what they told us select few of Mitsubishi techs that were invited to this class. They do have it in the manual and I believe that that page has already been posted.
Alright. As the lopsided man said after femur-lengthening surgery... I stand corrected.
where are the pages posted...at the beginning of this thread, I see the top half of a post and a half page but I'd sure appreciate a point in the right direction to see the rest of the pages. Thx
