Did you return it to stock and THEN take it to them. Did they EVER see the car with mods? or did you EVER tell them there were mods to the car?

keep it stock, keep your warranty. after all these warranty threads, im starting to feel sorry for mitsu. if someone's car was stock and mitsu denied warranty, then that would be a totally diff story. but everyone is complaining about mitsu, because they launched it to the moon and back and adding parts that weren't in the car in the first place.

i bet anything that if this exact same thing happened in any other car/company, the result would have been the same. hell, do it to a honda, acura, toyota, even frickin kia, and they will void your warranty in the same manner.

and as other ppl said, modding your car is at your own risk, and mitsu shouldn't have to take ANY responsibility for it. i think the owner should start taking responsibility.

how would you like it if you made something the way it's supposed to be made and ppl kept on modifying it and changing things in it and complain to you that it dont work and that they want YOU to pay for it? pretty lame guys. again, mitsubishi is warrantying the product they are selling along with the products IN it, not parts added to it.

What was their reasoning for voiding the warranty then? and what were you trying to get warrantied?

Possibly the electrical, since i believe you've got to tap into it. Maybe the ignition too. And I think the ECU gets tapped into as well. Just take the frackin thing off if you ever have trouble...

The service mannager has been out so I have not got the reason for it I will try again tomarrow. My front break calipers are pealing. Which would have nothing to do with any mods in the first place.

truly there is no more to the story than that. i knew of the BS that they give about anything so i made it comletly stock before i took it to them. the service rep. was there when my car was so i belive that he made the desition. when i get in contact with the service manager i will know why they would not do it. i am going to call another dealer and see what they say.

Davis Mitsu(where I bought the car) stated anything before the MAS and after the Cat Conv. is okay. Anything between there is a void of the warranty.
Roseville Mitsu. stated any mods to the vehicle will void the warranty. PERIOD.
I think a lot of it has to do with the dealer.
Also don't they have to prove the water came from bov and air filter?
