mitsu denied warranty cause of airfilter and bov
Oh god..this is going to be a heated thread. Is your air filter a drop in filter or an open element Cone filter?

i was told by a mitsu mechanic that was just recently in a meeting that corporate is voiding a warranty for as much as you just described... people are now going to have to move to litigations to prove thier case in court it seems. Mitsu just pulled the worst move they could ever make

Just to let you know, all service departments are different. The owner of the Mitsu dealer I purchased my car from is part owner in an import shop that has advertisements on this very site. They will do all warrenty work unless a 3rd party part you put on directly affects the claimed warrenty work, which is how it should be.

well now that this is being a fist fight now... back to the main issue he asked.... yeah ummm idk why mitsubishi is doing this, you would expect them since they are on the dowside of everythign to really back their cars regardless of mods... i really think the dealer is good for nothing ( and i'm sure many agree )... if i were you i'd be thankful and continue your modding path, i mean the dealer does several things:
1) rips you off for oem parts that aren't even that good... so now you can spend a little mor ehten what they would charge and get a quality part.
2) you can find places to install things very cheap and with quality installation..
3) mitsu should refund the money of a warrenty once its denied... i mean you do have to pay for it, and if yoru not gonna get hte full warrenty why not get back money for the warrenty you haven't used.. ( sorry thats not a main point but just a suggestion )
my conclusion.. your better off without the dealer, they are a bunch of nimrods anyways...

that k&n cone filter isn't going to hydrolock ur motor unless you drive into a river, mitsu is bullsh1t, none of those mods will cause knock in a already rich setting motor
