Actually don't blame - its CARB requirements of all 2005 vehciles that are OBDII compliant - serial number and CVN number must register on the OBDII scan - big brother is waking up

Search my P/N thread, find the numbers for the parts you need and then call the dealership.

It was an '05 GSR.

Here's the AFR for the 2nd to last tune/dynorun (low 11's)...no AFR for the final run. Not sure what, if any, changes were made between this run 287whp/298lb-ft and the final run 290/295.

Thanks for the assistance posthing that sheet !

The only thing we did between that ran and the last one was to let the car cool off for a little while

We like to do a back up run when we feel the tune is done just to make sure we dont loose any power through timing being pulled. In this case we acutally picked up power which was nice.

Overall a very nice result.

For the lazy.. here are the compressor and turbine housing p/n's from JustDSM's P/N thread:

MD613573 MR Specific Compressor housing
MD613524 MR Specific Turbine housing

These things aren't cheap from the dealer. Perhaps some vendors here can get them straight from the source and pass the savings onto us.

BTW - my a/f's usually run about 11.1 - 11.3 /1 - on the rich and safe side

Thanks for the info...

11.1 ~ 11.3 that's very conservative, but nice!!!

I'll sacrifice a few hp for a spot on tune...

Nice NUMBERS!!!!

So the 05 MR and GSR use the same housing? I know you can get a 10.5 housing from vendors out there (not 05, just larger i belive)....which one would work better? Any ideas?

I would assume that all the 05s use the same turbos so the MR and GSR parts should be the same.

The 05 turbine housings have a revised wastegate design, which should control boost better. I would try to get that one vs. the older one.

hmmm...so the only difference would be the revised wastegate...they are otherwise 10.5s??How would that make a difference in power? Isn't boost still regulated to whatever PSI you set it to?

Powerwise, they'll be the same since the nozzle area is 10.5 cm^2 on both housings. I'm guessing the reasoning behind the revised wastegate passage is to achieve more stable boost control. Although the stock 05s get a big boost spike when boost hits (like the 03s) so it doesn't seem to be working too well.

Wow, Im glad I got an 05! I did not know the compressor housings were different. My goal was to make 330whp (anything beyond that would be awesome) with these mods.

Intake/TBE 3" no cat
IC piping
Fuel pump
MBC
Reflash

I guess I should be able to attain this! Im really trying to avoid putting in cams just because of the install procedure and in case I have to take it back to the dealer if something big goes!

just get the TBE, cam gears(with the proper setting), mbc, fuel pump, and a custome tuned reflash and your car will be an absolute beast. good luck.
