'05 Evo Power !
Guys - just wanted to share this dyno sheet from a car we tuned on pump gas the other day. Simply put the results on the '05 Evos are BLOWING me away
This was a TOTALLY stock evo with just the Dyno Flash and a MBC - 20.5 psi
Stock air box, filter exhuast, etc etc
To get these kind of numbers on a 03 or 04 you would need a full exhuast and intake
The turbo modifications on the '05 are making huge power and these cars are going to be going very fast when they start to get some mods on them
IF I had an 03 or 04 the 05 turbine and compresor housings would be my first mods - (and a Dyno Flash too!)

I would say it could. they are making with-in a few whp of each other stock for stock. and then obviously once you start modding the Evo is gonna be the winner.
of course I'm talking about drag racing with comparable drivers.

im assuming the evo is the higher one... so since the hp and tq come at a lower rpm, wouldnt that make for better acceleration?
the weight shouldnt be TOO much of a difference
sti is about 3300lbs evo 8 is a lil less

BUT they are very close
The problems start when you try and go over 350 whp - thats when the STI starts to get very costly to modify

the 05 averages slightly more than the 03 and 04 on the dyno totally stock - its not till you start to lean on it a bit that the improved turbo design starts to show its colors
Dynoflash,
What octane are you using? How about doing a bone stock 05 EVO with 91 octane then add your flash and MBC with 91. I think you are getting good numbers because you can take advantage of the higher octane fuel along with more timing and boost. I do not think people in California will see those results.
