Well like I said, I was really trying to avoid cams (and cam gears!). I want to the IC piping for looks as well as the lower IC pipe most importantly because that will definitely give me an extra 7-10whp. I was debating a crank pulley but dynoflash put out that notice that you cant use them with his flash? Yet the Turbotrix guys (including my freind) has a pulley with a flash from TT with no problems. And I know for a FACT the crank pulley adds power, its a great small/cheap mod.

for what it's worth, I have a friend with just a standard Vishnu stg.1 car(TB exhaust, cam gears, and the Xede) he just recently add a 10.5 hotside. on pump gas he only made like 8-10whp less the my friend with tbe, cams, cam gears, tubular turbo manifold, upgraded IC and tme 6.5 turbo. and only made 1whp less on race gas. now granted he has a one of the strongest Evo's that has been on that dyno . these cars where dyno'd and tuned at the same shop by the same people. Cam gears do wonders on an evo when adjusted correctly, and for the 03-04 guys. the 10.5hotside seems to be netting some pretty nice power gains also.
there was an evo down at dyno4mance that dyno'd about 270ishwhp just with BR tbe (with the magnaflow muffler and cat delete pipe) cam gears(which where somewhat properly adjusted.) and some type of piggyback or ecu tuneable software. with the cam gears fixed and another retune that car still had some power to be safely picked up. stock evo's make, on average, around 205whp on that particular dyno. (dyno dynamics)
I think when my friend added his cams to his already tbe, cam gear, and tuned Xede setup. he only gain like 15whp. he actually gain more power with his cam gears. cams are a great addition when push higher boost levels, especially with a larger turbo, but for someone that on a budget. A TBE, cam gears, and some type of tuning(flash, piggyback) is great. and if you have a little extra money to spend opt for the 10.5 hotside(03-04 guys). you'll have a very quick(mid-high 12sec) daily driverable car and want have to much invested in it. IMO of course

edit: i would have to see it first hand. to believe the IC piping is gonna add 7-10whp. It's just hard for me to believe that. I haven't read up much on the crank pullies. so, i don't have anything to comment about the subject.

Well, its really been discussed on how all the power of IC pipin really comes from reaplcing the lower pipe which is very restrictive. Just about every person who changes it notices the difference + every shop reccomends it! Now the upper pipe you wont gain much but you would gain some throttle response and maybe 1-2 HP from less bends/length and some more volume inside the pipes.

different dynos give different #s. All that matters is baseline then final to see gain.

stupid question....do the 05's still get those awesome gains if you adjust the stock cams?
if thats the case, Im going to get cam gears, a MBC and drive up to Al for a custom tuned dynoflash

anyone know how long of a drive that is from PA(nj border)? lol

It should take you about two hours if you go out E80, N287, N95 (substituted Merritt Parkway if you know that way).
