That little button we can't make out is the ACD button. Don't asked how i know trust me it is.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say that this is something I'm gonna disbelieve until it's unequivocally proven to me. Don't get me wrong, I hope to GOD that you're right about that, but I'm taking the pessemistic standpoint since I'd rather expect the worst and perhaps be suprised with the best. I guess we'll see soon.

It is not. It's got a small, roundish icon that has what looks to be either wavy lines or radiating lines from it. That points to quite a few different things, but ACD is not among them. The ACD button uses a longish graphic of 4 tyres connected by lines, to represent the drive train.

I've got the answer! Rear-window defroster

 

No. The rear defroster is one of the button on the climate control. I'm thinking that one they tested has.

1. fake button,
2. ACD.

However it doesn't mean we'll get it. Gotta wait till the 3rd of January. I'm sure during the detroit auto show they'll probably have the sti and maybe they'll offer DCCD?

 

I think that if we keep typing here long enough about ACD...we'll get up from the computer and realize it's January 3, 2003 and will be telling us what we're getting anyway.

 

Vtec1: Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for that button to be for ACD, but I'm going to have to go with Paul Hansen of Apex Japan on this one. We can all be proven wrong, but I think Mr. Hansen is right. Are you willing to bet money that he isn't?

No, I didn't see it in person, though Peter Lyon did (he said it was a blast, an Evo 8 without the frills - and that's why it was a blast). I do have access to a better picture of the entire USDM dash, though.
