Me and some friedns where thinking what does it stand for exactly ? the Nissan engine codes for the 240's are alot easier to understand. Does anyone know what the engine code stands for exactly ?

 

10, and a half, plus 3....what engine code?

 

4 = number of cylinders.

G = dunno.

6 = family (i.e. - the 4G69 MIVEC engine is in the same family)

3 = dunno (but it designates certain engines. The 4G93 and 4G94 engines are similar, but have differences).
