The dunlops Rs are not so bad in the street. You can actually drive on them to events. I got them to test them out. They were not shaved and was at full thread. They are a good compromise for someone who only has one set of wheels and want to be able to drive on them to the an event and back similar to the pilot sports cups that comes standard on the porsche GT3s from the dealer (I may be wrong here so don't quote me on that).

 

I did slighty bend the right side lower C arm and need a new bilstein strut (estimate from the dealer). Damage will cost me about 6k with the job being done by the dealer. Should have the car back in three weeks max.

He did, he took a 350Z to VIR for a track day last February - decided to go with an STi after that experience and seeing them out there - then on to the MR when it came out. Don't whine about there being only 1000 of them - not like they were all presold, they aint moving. I mean heck within days of damaging one he picked up another just sitting in a lot.

R tires are a relative term... they weren't hoosiers.

More to do on the car than time to do it as always. Bunch of hoosiers (I know I can heat them up at VIR) heat cycled and ready for the 3.5 hour enduro. JIC's are on but corner weight and alignment are still needed. This that and the other still to do though and 7 days till test and tune.

The D is on the lot just waiting - we can go get it today anytime except 4:00-5:00 just holler.

 

this week and weekend is bad for me. I have to cram until saturday night or I'm screwed. Monday or tuesday preferably.

 

I may not be part of HPDE at vir but I'll drive down to support and bring a spare car if you want to run. I still have not receive a call for the waiting list to date.

Butt you usually aren't so hating and judging without basis at least not on NASIOC. I guarantee you he 1) did not do this out of a wrecklessness or lack of concern for others 2) is far more concerned about the guy in the john than himself, his car or his money. He does have a right to blow off those flaming him who don't know but presume to judge and respond to them how he wishes. Consider your responses in the past and currently to people who have flamed without knowing any of the facts less likely all of them.
