i really wish we would retest people over and over again once they reach a certain age. we shouldn't pity the old people and allow them to continue driving to spare their feelings if they are a danger to everyone else. (if i get too old to drive one day, i want someone to tell me so)

then again, i wish it was MUCH harder to get a license to begin with...there are way too many people on the road who can't drive.

example: my driver's test consisted of a drive around the block - that's it! i made sure i could parallel park and knew all about how a 4-way stop worked and everything else i could think of to be sure i passed. not everyone does that though and they still get to drive.

this is just a sore point with me.

this 90 year old lady was weaving in and out of the traffic today in a camry. then she tried to race me, peeling out. lol

I thought it was funny. I let her win, but just because you're young, that doesn't mean you could drive better than old people, just like if you have an evo doesn't mean you're automatically gonna go fast, it takes intial level of some skill sets.

nah dont worry about it, later down the line get it fixed when it gets worse, never know something else might happen down the road in the future and you'll be kiciking yourself in the *** for getting it fixed.

I agree 100% on both things you said. I wasn't required to take a drivers test at all because I had taken drivers training in High School. I tell you strait up that I shouldn't have had a license! I couldn't drive worth a crap!

I would love it if we had the same kind of driving instruction as Germany... it is expensive as all get out, but they actually teach you how to drive including high speed driving on the unlimited portions of the Autobon. One of the reasons Germany has lower accident rates than the US even with unlimited speeds on many sections of the autobon is the extensive training you have to go through to get your license there.

i was in alabama when i took my drivers test - guess that's a southern thing.

here in colorado it seems a bit more sane.

if everyone was actually taught to drive, i HIGHLY HIGHLY believe that not only would america have fewer automotive fatalities, but there would be a lot less road rage too.
