Im real short, so i sit butt real close, and back somewhat far. Pretty much just enough so I can fully disengage clutch.

My friend has that same problem also. (corey) I forget and try to get in his car and I get stuck. He is like 5 foot nothing and I'm 6'1.

I place my seat so that i can engage the clutch. And for the steering wheel I have the back of the seat adjusted so that when I put both of my arms out over the steering wheel, only my hands hang over it.

i am 5`11 and i sit the middle, close so i can engage the clutch completely, not too far that my elbows are straight when i am holding the steering.

I have my elbows slightly bent, but i have long legs. The seat is atleast 3/4 way back. It's comfy for me.

The recommended position is to be able to put the thicker bit of your palm (the part of your palm closest to your wrist) on the top of the wheel while keeping slightly bent elbows and your shoulders against the seatback (meaning you are still relaxed and not "reaching" forward). Your legs aren't as important (apparently) and sometimes have to be a bit cramped to achieve this position. That is for best car control though, for normal driving you probably want to be slightly further back especially if you have long legs.

I use a position close to the recommended position everytime I drive (in my car and my fathers Evolution VI). I am about 6'2" and in my fathers Evolution VI I usually sit fairly close to the wheel (I don't sit forward though, I put the seatback up as straight as it will go and rest against it) and have the wheel at it's highest setting to give my legs some room.

I'm only 5'5" ish, so the few times I've driven an Evo, I was pretty close...but somehow still comfortable (I love being the perfect size for the seats ). I always get it close enough so I can depress the clutch pedal with almost full extension in my left leg.
