my service engine soon light just came on
what up all........my service engine soon light came on on my way home....what do i do? everything seams ok...i got on it once and i didn't feel any loss of power......need some help guys
mine does it all the time because of my intake it gets annoying disconnect your negative battery cable and then like 5 minutes later reconnect it your problem should be solved but it will proly come back......
Goto your local automotive shop like Autozone, Pep Boys, etc... and have them pull the CEL code on their scanner and come back and tell us what it is... or do a search with the CEL code to find lots of info. Without the CEL code, we can't help you...
Also, don't reset the light until you get the CEL code... then reset the battery (neg. terminal) or unplug/replug the ecu to get rid of the light.

i just got back from autozone and they where closed......I'm going to call the shop i get my work done at tom and see if they can read the code.......is it ok to drive???
go back to autozone when they open and get it scanned for free or if your unmodded take it straight to the stealership. chances are its a random cylinder misfire P0300 code...
check ur gas cap, make sure its properly close (click 3 time or more) if its not properly close ur service engine soon light will turn on.it happend to me, this stupid gas man didnt close it properly! close it and ur onboard diagnostic will correct d problem, light will turn off by itself.(read ur car manual it helps!)
Your vehice *should* be fine to drive normally if you're not experiencing any symptoms of any type of problem... however, it's upto your descretion.
As someone stated, if you're 100% stock, get the dealership to look at it... if you're mod'd, goto your local automotive store and get the CEL code... just don't reset it until you know what the code is.

i have cat del pipe and did the 2 spark plug fouler. Took a total of 20 min to drill them out and install them and have not thrown a code in over 5k miles. I did have to beat my floorboard up a little bit to get the foulers to fit because of the location of my sensor on turboXS catback.
