Hey guys was just curious what majority of you all launch at. Also if you could list if your car is modified and to what extent.

I assume ur joking, otherwise id ask u to prove it .......im still on the stock clutch, so a good 5K RPM launch is a really harsh, but ive only done a couple times. I have a lot of mods getting installed in the next couple months, and hopefully ill get a clutch as well. I guess we'll see how that goes considering its gonna cost me a lot of $$$ for the clutch plus labor. Oh well, bankruptcy here i come!

Set at 23PSI on 91 **** gas. I turn it down around town, but on 20 it still did 304 so....I can't wait to get my other stuff on and go back. So what do you really launch at?

I launched mine today fo the first time, (860 miles)

3k = bog
4K = bog
5K Rev limiter, Still bog a little and took off,

I'm guessing 6k is the sweet spot???? or I just need more power to get the wheels to spin a bit more

Pete,

i have had good experience with a 4.5 k launch a few times on the street. hasnt seen a drag strip yet, so i have some kinks in the technique to work out.

Stock, the best I've found is to bounce the throttle between 5,000 and 5,500 a few times, the QUICKLY release (don't dump) the clutch as it falls to 5,000, and as the clutch releases floor it. It takes practice to get the clutch out and the throttle buried at the same time, but it's sweet when you get it right. No bogging, no clutch smell, no wheel hop (the tires just chirp) and it does not feel like it's a shock to the driveline. I wouldn't do this on uneven pavement or over bumps, though.

Quickly letting out the clutch at 3,500 while flooring the throttle works as well, with a slight bog, but not much difference in 0-60 times on my accelerometer. Probably easier on the clutch and transmission, and not enough difference in acceleration to matter except when you need that 0.1 sec advantage.

i "launch" at 1000rpm every time i've raced and i beat em all so far... too paranoid after i replaced my clutch MYSELF and installed new transfer case MYSELF. So you konw how that must feel to an owner. Basically, i take off normal as if i were just driving to work and floor it and let the turbo and my shifting do the work
