I keep getting pulled over in this one town by different cops I swear they have a bulletin of my car in there station....they pull me over for the stupidest reasons 3 of the 4 times in the last 6 months are for reasons that were false and I faught in court and won 2 of them...Well I just got pulled over again tonight this is my situation I am behind another vehicle in a LEFT TURN ONLY lane and there is a vehicle in front of me and behind me and the cop was behind them...the light turns green and we all take a left turn i drive about 1/4 mile turn on my left blinker to pull into the place I was going and as I am doing this the cop comes flying on my *** with high beams and spot lights and every light possible on..so i pull in the parking lot and the cop says I never used a signal and im like what do u mean my signal was on pulling in here...he goes no when u pulled onto this road...now remember im in a left turn only lane and in between two other cars....i honestly cant remember if the blinker was on....does it have to be if your in a left turn only lane???...where the hell else am I going to go?!?!?! ughhh im so aggravated im tired of cops pulling me over cuz i drive a Red Evo ***in haterz...

Yes your blinker does have to be on, although its not very enforced. Its more gives them a legitimate reason to pull the car with big wing over. Dont tell anyone you dont remeber if it was on, just say it was and fight it. I belive you can fight this one.

 

happened to me before, but my blinker was on, so my GF told his *** off from the passenger side, he said sorry, and went on his way, funny thing was i never said a thing., the cop just tried to get me for something imaginable....sucks that it happens, but ya you do have to signal. i wouldnt have told him that i was on, and faught it in court again...

 

Like I said in the post I wasnt sure if it was on...I 99% of the time signal but I can honestly say im not sure if I did have it on...but im sure i didnt if he pulled me over for it im sure he could ahve found some other lame excuse to pull me over...but thanks for the info. us "morons" will have to practice I guess...

 

Ya I will be fighting this one I cant see losing but its just the point of me losing time at work and being pulled over for driving a Evo which I KNOW is why I was pulled over.....

 

Yeah, sorry, i was a little harsh, I've forgotten to turn on my headlights on nights it's snowed really hard, cuz it's so bright outside... I was just really shaken by the guy that didn't signal, just me venting... sorry!

I've gotten 2 tickets for BS things.. I don't drive an evo, but I have an OZ with some performance stuff on it. Kinda looks like an evo. I was driving to work a few months ago and a cop was in the far right lane at a stop light. I was behind someone first in line (middle lane) at the light on a 3 lane road. You know how people always hesitate to accelerate next to or in front of a cop.. Well, everyone took off at .5mph for about 40 yards. Then the guy in front of me sped up to about 30mph in a 45mph zone. By this time the cop was about 30 yards behind me.. then I switched lanes to the lane the cop was in but 30-35 yards ahead. The cop ripped around the guy in front of him and pulled me over. I got a stupid ticket for following too close.. even though I specifically remember being at least a full size pickup truck length behind the guy in front of me... total BS..
Another quick story- Just last week I was on a connector for a highway (Telegraph to I-75 in southeast Michigan) and the speed limit was 55mph. I got about 50 yards from the highway and started to accelerate to 70mph which is the posted speed limit for I-75. There was a cop sitting at the end of the on-ramp radaring me. I thought nothing of it since I was just merging onto the highway. He came ripping out behind me and pulled me over. He clocked me at 71.2mph. He gave me a ticket for speeding on a highway connector ramp, but only gave it for 5 over.. (60 in a 55) SO STUPID@!??! From now on I just merge on the highway at 55mph and gun it.. ROFL.. sorry for venting too.

well cops are encouraged to write a certain amount of tickets each month, not to call it a "quota", and they go for easy prey so they can get some bonus
