yea the subarus had a weak showing again. I'm wondering where all those 400whp on pump gas green powered STi's are...... if some people would actually get to the track maybe we could offer some competition.

i dont bash the stis at all, i love em. sure we are rivals in the racing world but they are the same as us, they love turbo awd sextoys. everytime i see an sti its a thumbsup and a wave. Stischucky, I dont know what it is man but i guess your coming off the wrong way to people on this board, nobody is this hostile. maybe if we can focus on constructive discussions instead of pissfests we would all get along a lot better.

stis are great cars by any means, just give our bros a lil more time on the newfangled motor contraption.

10.9 on stock turbo is ridiculous. what were the mods? im suspecting a built motor?

 

And I think you are a **** talker who has many preconceptions about stuff that is not only wrong, but you have had them for a heck of along time.

Face it, there just flat isn't that many STi owners who are down to make a lag monster dyno queen or a drag only ****box out of thier brand new $30K car. Till you get people interested in building the motor till the wallet crys, putting on a big ol turbo, $$$$ clutch, built 5spd or Auto with proper drag ratios, etc.

From what I've seen the EVO's MAIN advantage is a gearbox that doesn't completely suck for dragracing. I would so love more sane ratios in the STi.

Naw it's the motor It is an iron block Vs. aluminum so it can handle detonation unlike your motor. It has a closed Deck while yours is not fully, it is an Inline design which is easier to make power from and is less complicated, yes more simple with way less piping and less complicated exhaust manifolds and IC piping and so therefore less to go wrong. Inlines with short strokes make BIG power although they may be lacking down low. Teh Evo makes up for it with a VERY quick spooling turbo and a Twin Scroll exhaust manifold that gets me 21PSI by 3000RPM's (I have mods) The bottom end is simple sick on an Evo/DSM and the ONLY 4banger that MAY be stronger is the SR20DET, but I have no idea. People are making well over 500WHP on the bottom end and trapping above 140MPH, thats some good stuff .


P.S. Nice Sti , you running the Green? How does it spool? 11.89 at a 112.MPH trap is amazing I mean That is some QUICK shifitng . That is what I trap at and I am only at low 12's but I only make 350WHP, which dyno were you on?

Its not the the subaru's didn't care, but it seems like none of the quicker ones showed up. Many sti's and wrx's run 10's. Don't know where they were. I ran, but I'm still on the stock turbo, I wasn't going to beat anyone (No I didn't run 15's ). I was signed upp for bracket racing and accidently went the the subaru lane lol. David buschur in the red evo pulls beside me and I was like wtf!! Then I realized I was in the wrong place

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but the fastest wrx runs 9's on the stock header. I don't think ESX is going to drive to Ohio for a subaru vs evo shootout.
