I would have to agree with fishsauce. I personally think that the STi will be faster than the Evo in the 1/4 mile, but the Evo should be faster around the track.

im user evo 8 on that thread: defender of the evo, basher of car and driver magazine! this guy named scooby (wonder what car company he likes ) actually said the REGULAR wrx would be better and faster than the evo will be . he thinks that the evo should be compared to the wrx and not the STi. my post put him in his place though.

Hmmmm, C&D forums... 15 year-olds debating the merits of Ferrari's vs. Aston Martins vs. Lamborghini's that they wil NEVER be able to afford.

No thanks. The C&D forums are worse than most IMHO.

Yeah they are. That's because the people who know anything about their respective car (or can afford it for that matter) are on that car's forum. The C&D forum IS for posers and 15 yr olds... go back to your GT3 I say....

You might have to learn Japanese first.

Some people just have no clue... With or without the ACD, the EVO dominates the roadways.. Now the only thing that I can see the STI with the advantage is the Suretrac limited slip front diff... But then the weight category falls back into place with probably around 3500 lbs... I was looking at the stats of the 2, the EVO is a little wider (body), with a wider wheelbase.. The STI has released all the statistics about the car, with the exception of guess what... WEIGHT... I wonder why that is?? EVO with slight mods will dominate... Proven engine, amazing power, wicked handling... Nothing compares but a vette or porsche!!

wow that forum is just hard to read ... the evo won't be able to beat the WRX hahahah
dillusioned to say the least, at least our scooby fanatics we have on our boards are realistic! I would put all of them in their place especially the post about scooby coming out on top because they know what they are doing in the rally. Since in the first SCCA event mistu won buuuut I'm way too lazy to register

edit: just read last post and I agree completey ... not to mention that if you want to you can put a new front diff on the evo when you get it and probably still stay under the cost of the sti .. maybe
