the only two factors that should determine purchasing a sportbike are comfort and looks. The only way you can benefit from the marginal differences are if you are an extremely good rider. I picked up a 600RR because i think its the nicest looking bike in its class, but its completely subjective.

you like your kawi and thats all that matters. again congrats and be safe especially on cold tires. imagine advans but 10 times worse. have fun!
