Turbo sound changed?

I have less than 200 miles on my 05 Evo and today I noticed that the turbo is wineing more. I love the sound of the Evo and since the day that I got it I know exactly how it sounds. Today all of a sudden I can hear the turbo wine much more.

Is there something that I should check in the engine? As the engine breaks in is this something normal to happen.

Just want to make sure that I don't have a problem.

Thanks

if your stock hopefully ur breaking it in correctly and if you added any upgrade like an intake that usually make your turbo spool louder

If your car is stock its really hard to hear the turbo... maybe you just did not take notice the noise before? You ever do that with a song, you just listen to the background noises and then that's all you hear... well I have... but thats just me.

Maybe your hitting the gas a little harder than you used to. I would worry about it if its driving fine. It would kind of hard to claim abuse on a 200 mile car, so worst comes to worst make the dealer fix it if something breaks, but dont waste your time by bringing it in to them, because they will say its fine.

1st 2nd 3rd what? days of driving? How many miles each day? That thing is stupid... and you should REALLY not be boosting much at all for the first 500 miles

No mods at all.

I'm keeping it under 5,000 for the first 600 miles like the manual said which is alittle bit of boost. I almost always keep it under 3000 90% of the time.

I was thinking of getting a turbo timer, boost gauge, or APS blow off valve as the first mod on my car but I can't decide.

I think he meant gears.

When my car was stock... all 1500 miles I could only hear the turbo between a certain RPM it would get loud then get muffled by the noise of the engine and exhaust. It would make sense that in the taller gears you can hear the turbo better and for a longer time period because youll be sitting near the same RPMs for longer, when compared to first gear its 2000-5000rpm in a flash!
