How do u get dashboard off?
My Kenwood KVT DVD player got stuck and I need to take it out to take it to the Kenwood repairer. The problem is they don't take them out. (I know its b.s.) I'm looking at it, and does the gray plastic around the CD player just pop out? I don't want to stick a screwdriver in there and try and pop it and crack the plastic. Can someone help?

he means the HVAC controls. and no you dont need to get the center console out to get to the dashboard. but like i said before:
click here for the HOW-TO that involves taking off the dash piece you want to take off

I read the title thinking lancerevomann was talking about the entire instrument panel...lol
Just an FYI...its called the radio bezel or center bezel, etc.
Be careful not to loose the plastic clips. They will fall down inside the I/P or center console and then rattle n stuff. Good luck!

1. Remove the HVAC control knobs, just pull them off, these are the knobs you use to control the a/c/heat/etc. 3 of them, just give em a little tug and they come right off.
2. You should see 2 screws now, pull these out.
3. Now, the greyish plastic center console will come off, give it a little tug as well and it'll pop off.
4. Now you should see 4 screws holding your dvd player in. Unscrew those and you're dvd player will come out.
5. If you can't figure that out, sorry man, take it to someone who can.
