I got the FG lower intercooler pipe and am very happy with it. For the price($145 shipped), it can't be beat. It is a solid piece. I can vouch for Jimmy at Fighters Garage, his customer service is top notch. He even said if you are not satisfied with it he will refund your money. Boost response is a better after eliminating that long piece of flex hose.

The powdercoating is a much more durable finish that is pretty much bulletproof.
i'm all eyes (ears) whatever...

Just ordered mine from FG. Anyone looking for a lower intercooler pipe should at the very least check them out.

Go AMS...they have SUCH sweet parts and it's all beautifully made. Martin takes his time creating these items and puts a lot of attention into how it performs on our cars...

Check out thier website and give them a call...they are the best in the business...

I like the FightersGarage lower I/C pipe. I will definitely be getting one of these. If someone knows who I can speak with directly at FG to get some custom work done, please PM me. Thanks.

Hate to say it, but on the fighter garage lower IC. The overall design is good, but look at the lip. Looks like someone just welded a seam onto the end of the pipe, that pipe does not have a proper bead. As a result I would very much question how well it would hold up in high boost situations. Also, nowhere does it say whether it is steel or aluminum

I've had the FG licp pipe on for 2 weeks now with no problems. The pipe has not blown off yet. IMO, the AMS pipe is beautiful. Everything AMS makes is a work of art. I am going to be upgrading my turbo in the future, so it will most likely make my stock/FG licp obsolete since most turbo kits come with a new licp. I did however want to get a better piece in to bridge the gap between my current setup and a turbo upgrade. For the price, you can't beat the Fighters Garage pipe. It's cheap, effective and no one will ever see it. Good luck to all looking for a good licp.

I can confirm that all that the bead really does is prevent the band clamp from forcing it's way off under boost. The seal is created under the clamp area not the edge of the pipe to the hose. Just 3 slightly raised spot welds around the pipe will keep it from slipping off.

If your clamp is tight enough theres no way your going to blow it off, The weld is doing a good enough job, if you want a pretty Pipe go with AMS, i wonder how your going to show off your lower pipe, let me know.. I havent had a single problem with the fighters-garage lower pipe, and it got the job done.. for half the price. I believe $225 for a lowerpipe is definitely exaggerated. Good luck on your quest.
