How do you guys afford Evo's? Where do you work?
I just turned 33 last week. Married with one daughter, and hopefully another baby soon. I work as an analytical chemist for a chemical manufacturing company specializing in chemicals used in the semiconductor industry. Homeowner here in the South Bay Area so house payments are a b***h. It's one of the reasons why my car is still stock (still a blast to drive though!). Hopefully I'll have that rectified before the end of this summer.
Didn't put any down payment on the car so I'm paying $696/month for the EVO @ 3.9% 48 months, with $82/month on insurance for full coverage with USAA. Multi car coverage definitely helps overall.
I also wanted to add that I definetly give major thumbs up to all those people 18-25 that started up their own business and ventured out on their own. I know I didn't have the guts to do something like that on my own at that age. Too much risk, too much of the unknown.

32. Work as an adjuster for an insurance company handling mostly litigated claims (ie. boring). One house, 2000 Honda Odyssey, 1995 Toyota Tacoma, 2003 Mitsu Evo, one wife, two boys and a chocolate labrador retriever.
I pay a fortune for insurance, but thankfully the Honda and Toyota are paid for.
What's up with all the 20-somethings driving around in Evo's?

Talk about night and day, yes I have a darkside. I get home, take off my white collared shirt and get into my mechanic jumpsuit, heh

33 an unemployeed school teacher, going to interview in an hour. Hopefully a new job is on the horizon, so I can get some bigger toys. I have Buschur stage 1-2, plus some suspension work done currently. GT35R or 3076, once I sign a contract. I put $15,000 down on a 2003 Evo and pay $298/month.

I'm 29 and a software engineer. Single-income, no kids, no wife, and the car payment + insurance + maintenance still chews a big hole in my wallet. I'm on my 4th set of brake pads, 4th set of tires, god knows how many oil changes and tanks of gas. The evo is a killer lol.

Im 17 and payed for half of my car. My father bought me my first car which was a 1993 240sx s13. I fixed it up and sold it to buy a hit 1997 240sx. I sold that after fixing it and made some money. I worked for a while to buy a 1998 240sx the last year they were made. I turned 1500 into 10,000 and my pops matched it for my graduation gift.
