My brake light keeps coming on and off..

hey guys...whenever i drive my evo...after i pull down my hand brake...my brake light goes off....switching to first gear it is still off...but once i switch to second gear my brake light comes on for a while and then turns off again...do you know what might be causing this problem? any help would be great...thanks

search for it. pads are low.

fluid is low because of 1) a leak or 2) pads are low. those are really the only reasons. don't top off the fluid either; replace the pads or you may be overfilled after pad replacement.

You will not be overfilled if you take out some brake fluid using a syringe before replacing pads, buy you have to not forget about that step...

Yeah but there's no need to do that. Fluid levels aren't at risk-measuring low levels anyways, even when the pads are toasted.
