Are you threatning me? Give me a headache? If i am man enough? The maturity over there has hit an all time low.. Typical low life mentality, resorting to violence because he isn't smart enough to talk..

If i come up look out for my imaginary evo

Easy boys. It is no question that we do not agree with or get along with the guys over at "Mynes". We did do some work to Jay's car. It came into our shop with a blown motor. Looked like long term det due to a mistune. We yanked it out and partially assembled a new motor for him. It left here unfinished to "have a roll cage installed." It did leave on a tow truck. No one really know what was done to the car after that. We were told some work was done at Jay’s house and then he took it to Vivid where more work was done. Jay came down to the shop some time after he took the car to inform us that he was not bringing it back to be finished and that he wanted a partial refund for labor as we had agree to give him a discounted rate for being a "shop". He showed up screaming , yelling and swearing at my techs (I wasn't in at the moment, but arrived later) and threatening them to the point where Phoenix Police was called to physically remove him form the property. Thankfully his partner, who seemed at the time to have more sense than him, calmed him down and we agreed to terms of a refund. Credit memo and refund for $310 issued on 3/17/2005. Jay apologized for his bad attitude and they both left.

The following week I received a letter from American Express stating that the full amount had been charged back on 3/14/2005. 3 days before he tried to come in and get a full refund. His charge back was denied by American Express and he has refilled it. We are again disputing it.

It is true that in the begining of our relationship Jay offer to share a space with us. They were looking to split the rent on a 6300 sq ft space if I recall correctly. We met with them and discussed what they had to offer and what they brought to the table. We decided against it as we did not feel it was beneficial to our company. (Thank God we had that foresight). We instead moved our facility to our own 8300 sq ft space that is more centrally located. 3902 E University Suite D3. Stop in and see us sometime. This place is amazing!! Even I am blown away!

It is our policy that we do not warranty any work that is not finished when it leaves this shop and do not warranty any work that is continued or redone elsewhere. Whether it be by the customer or another shop. If you take the car out of our shop with out it finished there is no way we can know what has happened to the car between then and the completion.

I have no beef with Jay and his guys. I do not like the way they act. I think they are a bit immature. I would not do business with them. I have told them that. Beyound that I wish them the best of luck in their venture. I understand the hardships of opening a new shop and trying to gain market share and community trust/presence. They are a new shop and direct competition for us in the EVO market so I expect there to be some bad blood. This is a way to get their name out and try to trash ours at the same time. Not a marketing tactic we agree with from a business ethics standpoint but one that is often employed around the world.

Instead of trying to tear down our competition we prefer to gain market share and trust of the community by proving our selves and what we can do. We actually have positive relationships with almost all of our competitors.

We have become a strong force in the Subaru Community and expect to have that same effect here. You will see a lot of cool and exciting things coming out of our camp over the next few years and I think time will tell who we are and what we can bring to this community. The thing is that we are enthusiasts at heart. We love these cars and love racing. We will continue to build award winning magazine featured cars because that is what we love to do.

Dave is a great guy, an honest guy, and will be spear heading our full fledged campiegn into the EVO Market. We will be offering a new line of innovative products, rare and hard to find items from Japan and worldwide, JDM Imported Cars and Clips, Tuning, Tech, and much more. If there is anything you need feel free to contact him or anyone here at Kingpin. We look forward to the challenge of competing within the very skilled and diverse Mitsubishi market. Thanks.

Mike

I've heard nothing but good things about Kingpin from Nasioc. I'm glad they're getting involved in the evo market, and I'm sure they will have a positive impact on the market for us. Welcome to evolutionm.net, Kingpin. Not all the threads on here are this negative.

Wow, for a second there I though this was a Honda board. Meet me after school at the flag pole, C'mon. My next car is a Subaru.

Goes to show, you can take the guy out of a Honda, but you can not take the Honda out of the guy. housedj, I am ashamed for you since you don't know enough to be ashamed your self. Your mom should spank you in front of your frineds.

Thanks man! The evo crowd is a great crowd as a whole.. I am freinds with many Evo-ny members, and nothing but great guys all around.. It is ashame when a few bad apples try and represent a whole community..

Arguing on the internet and being immature is one thing, but making personal threats against someone is just absurd..

Anyway thanks to all who welcome us with open arms, as we are happy to be here.

This thread has indeed taken a turn for the worse. As an impartial observer all I can go on are facts. I recall the day Dustin had ordered some cams from this shop and was royally screwed. I was physically there that day as it was our Dynoflash day and the service I witnessed from Kingpin made me personally want to never do business there. I have seen the receipts regarding this so called car that was done there and can honestly say there are some descrepancies by what is being posted from the fellows at KP. Now while the situation in itself is a bad one, there's no reason to post threats and degrade the forums. I think we can all agree with the evidence presented to make your own decision as to where you decide to do business.

The name calling, threats, etc. are unwarranted. In the end we all share the same passion...

Well said...

And i am sorry you feel that way about that cam ordeal.. Again i wasnt there for that, but i can tell you in the future it wont happen. I cant fix what i didn't do, but i can and will prevent it from happening now.. The shop was going through some major growing pains from growing leaps and bounds in such a short time.. Kingpin did what any good shop would, and rather then make excuses, they fully realized the problem, and hired some more crew members.. We have everything under control now, and are going to be running a tight ship.. I have said it before, but i know how it is to deal with vendors, and not get parts, or be left in the dark and i dont do that to my customers.. You can ask the original thread starter about that

You are local, stop in the new shop and check it out.. I would love to meet the local guys, and check out some cars..

Later guys, and have a safe weekend!

If you want to be successful, then STOCK INVENTORY. I drove up to see Vivid last week with several grand in cash. I called them for directions and to ask about several items i wanted. They had none of them. So i never even went. Online companies love you guys who stock nothing. They get all the business. America is about impulse shopping and if you fail to understand this, you will never know your full potential. Trust me, i know what ime talking about......(god forbid the shop who stocks a set of rpf1's in 17x8 for the EVO. They might sell them!! or even a few sets of volks) Ray
