anyone bought anything from Kingpin?

i ordered a pair of HKS 272 cams on the 11th and iv'e called a bunch of times asking for a tracking number or an update on my order and i keep getting the "let me call you back"

When the guy answered the phone and asked me what i ordered i told him and he said that they've never sold a set of cams for an Evo.

If you paid with credit card, call them up and cancel the order. Then call your credit card company and dispute the charges.

I thought kingpin was mainly for subies. I know of alot of subies, mainly STIs that buy from them.

Kingpin fu*ked this white Evo that they were doing the 2.3 stroker kit to it but the motor BLEW so the guy had vivid take a look at it. They open up the motor and found little rocks everywhere up in there. That Evo is nearly brand new too!

And pretty much all the tech/mechanic who work at Kingpin *USED* to work at Vivid but they got fired. SO many ppl question them on their quality of work. They're more of a Subaru kinda of shop. BE AWARE! thats all I have to say.

Steve what are you talking about? I am incharge of the evo parts here, and when you called i said i have never sold a set of cams, since we just are breaking into the evo market. I did not know you ordered off the site, and when i found out i took care of you immedietly.. I am very confused why you are posting all this nonsence, when you sounded very satisfied when we talked on the phone.. Not to mention your credit card was declined when we first ran it..

I told you the cams were going out today 2 day air.. And even at 38 shipping that is cheaper then any other vendor on these forums.. Shipping is not calculated by us unfortunetly..

I would suggest bringing this to my attention next time before going public, as i did everything in my power to satisfy you..

As for that stroker motor, i was not here when that was built but i did get some details about it.. From what i heard about it is the guy left here VERY happy with a great running motor, went to another shop where more work was done, and then had the problems..

I will assure you, you guys are going to see big things coming from us in the near future. We just moved into our new shop, and are going to work on our own line of evo parts..We build and tune any car, and our tuner Clark Turner is one of the premier tuners in the country today, tuning practically every programable EM on the market.

If anyone has any questions, i would really appreciate calling me at the shop, pm'ng, im'ng, etc me directly so i can help you out in a timely fashion. Or just drop by the shop.

It's always nice to hear both sides of the story. Sounds like the situation has been handled and was brought to this forum for absolutely no reason what so ever. If it doesn't get handled than complain, but not before.

Thanks i was actually pretty shocked to see this.. I will say when he first called i wasn't aware of his order, but i IMMEDIETLY looked into it, and saw he ordered from the site, so i called him back and we actually talked for a while, i gave him my opinion on cam selection, and we both got off the phone happy.. To see this post, this morning was confusing..LOL

Steve if you still feel like you have issues please call me back.

Kingpin rules. I've never had a problem with them ever. They ship faster from Japan than any vendor on here. Mike and Dave are awesome to work with and have a vast knowledge of Subies and EVo's. Thumbs up from me!
