I told you the cams were going out today 2 day air.. And even at 38 shipping that is cheaper then any other vendor on these forums.. Shipping is not calculated by us unfortunetly..
I would suggest bringing this to my attention next time before going public, as i did everything in my power to satisfy you..
As for that stroker motor, i was not here when that was built but i did get some details about it.. From what i heard about it is the guy left here VERY happy with a great running motor, went to another shop where more work was done, and then had the problems..
I will assure you, you guys are going to see big things coming from us in the near future. We just moved into our new shop, and are going to work on our own line of evo parts..We build and tune any car, and our tuner Clark Turner is one of the premier tuners in the country today, tuning practically every programable EM on the market.
If anyone has any questions, i would really appreciate calling me at the shop, pm'ng, im'ng, etc me directly so i can help you out in a timely fashion. Or just drop by the shop.

No one really know what was done to the car after that. We were told some work was done at Jay’s house and then he took it to Vivid where more work was done. Jay came down to the shop some time after he took the car to inform us that he was not bringing it back to be finished and that he wanted a partial refund for labor as we had agree to give him a discounted rate for being a "shop". He showed up screaming , yelling and swearing at my techs (I wasn't in at the moment, but arrived later) and threatening them to the point where Phoenix Police was called to physically remove him form the property. Thankfully his partner, who seemed at the time to have more sense than him, calmed him down and we agreed to terms of a refund. Credit memo and refund for $310 issued on 3/17/2005. Jay apologized for his bad attitude and they both left.
Get the story right... that motor blew after I let someone borrow my car, and they made a mistake and put 87 octane in running over 20 psi, and you know that... But you like to use stuff like that to make someone look bad, which it doesn't.
Dude, American Express declined the first charge back, because when I placed the complaint it was the total of $2,758.00. So when you charge my card back from the $75.00 shop rate to the $65.00 shop rate, bring the total of a $310.00 charge back. o they thought we solve the problem. American Express contact me again to ask if this was ok, and I said hell no...So they grab the $2,448.00 back the next day. But this time they have all the videos, pics and reciepts now. And you also you lie about I complained about the price and that's why you changed it. You are such a liar man... I complained because you told me in the beginning that you will charge me $65.00 an hour. I can't believe how someone like you can lie so much and get a way with smoothly, because you keep your smooth nice and collect attitude when a customer is mad about there car, and use that against them when they dispute a charge back from a customer's card card company. I only apologized to you, because you told me that you will check out my car at Vivid Racing, and you never did, so that's why I am still mad about the situation. And son't say you did, because I was there when you went to Vivid Racing to pick up some parts, and you never came out to the garage to check out what happened to my car. You just fed my some crap to calm me down. So Mike... know I feel that you are playing me, and you are using my temper to make me out of a bad person. That's not cool man...
The following week I received a letter from American Express stating that the full amount had been charged back on 3/14/2005. 3 days before he tried to come in and get a full refund. His charge back was denied by American Express and he has refilled it. We are again disputing it.
It is true that in the begining of our relationship Jay offer to share a space with us. They were looking to split the rent on a 6300 sq ft space if I recall correctly. We met with them and discussed what they had to offer and what they brought to the table. We decided against it as we did not feel it was beneficial to our company. (Thank God we had that foresight). We instead moved our facility to our own 8300 sq ft space that is more centrally located. 3902 E University Suite D3. Stop in and see us sometime. This place is amazing!! Even I am blown away!
Ok, we had that meeting, and you guys were so cocky... me and Mike decided not to do anything with you guys after we left your shop... Then you call me to follow up after you guy decided it may not be best to sub-lease, go go on with it. And I told you that I have a guy from England would be moving to the US and wants to join with me. He manufactures engine components for Formula 1, and wanted to get more into the import scene making engine parts for passenger imports. I told you that, and you know it. And you still wrote a email to my broker that you just came back from Colorado talking to some franchise people, and you needed our space if we were still interested. Me and my broker just laughed and ignored your emails. We have already decided not after our first meeting, could you tell????
It is our policy that we do not warranty any work that is not finished when it leaves this shop and do not warranty any work that is continued or redone elsewhere. Whether it be by the customer or another shop. If you take the car out of our shop with out it finished there is no way we can know what has happened to the car between then and the completion.
First of all Mike, please, please, please stop with the lies. My car was complete with the engine built and installed in the car. My car was sitting there waiting for a imaginary TEIN suspension that you charged my VISA card for and never ordered. Everytime I come to your shop, I always ask you for a tracking number when every week you tell me it's coming or has been shipped on a Friday. You could never reveal a tracking number. The car was done!!!, but you can't just say... sorry Jay for the mistakes that my mechanic made in installing your rods backwards, using a non turbo 4G64 head gasket, installing your cam bearing caps arrow facing towards the transmission side, suppose to be facing the timing belt. installing the timing belt hydralic tensioner wrong causing the timing belt to jump teeth while it was at Vivid Racing, Installing the freeze plugs wrong, leaving bolts loose on the trasfer case, leaving a bolt out on the front oil pump cover, which caused the oil leak, leaving some of my crossmember bolts out, not installing the collar pins on my axle nuts, the list goes on.
I have no beef with Jay and his guys. I do not like the way they act. I think they are a bit immature. I would not do business with them. I have told them that. Beyound that I wish them the best of luck in their venture. I understand the hardships of opening a new shop and trying to gain market share and community trust/presence. They are a new shop and direct competition for us in the EVO market so I expect there to be some bad blood. This is a way to get their name out and try to trash ours at the same time. Not a marketing tactic we agree with from a business ethics standpoint but one that is often employed around the world.
Oh my god, listen to yourself... It's so funny, that you finally are doing EVOs now. They been out for almost 4 years, but now you see a company based from Florida and Europe been working with EVO since they started with the roman numerial I II III, IV, V, VI and so on... please I am not worried about competition from you guys... it seems like you guys are worried. We just don't deal with EVO and Subaru, we also deal with the highend cars such a Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW. If Dave knows his stuff, please let him do the EVO market and installations, and not your mechanic Steve. I heard his employment history. If I would have known that first.. I would have let you guys take my block back to the machine shop to get assembled the way it should have been in the first place (which you never admit to the forums of the real deal with my engine) and not by your mechanic. If you don't know what you are doing, you should not touch someone's car. This crap that happen to my car, I was not going to post this problem until I read on the forums that one of your employees that was not there at the time when I was doing business with you. Needs not to talk about my car. As you can see I am a newbie here and this is my 4th post ever. This happened in March, and I am know saying something about it. That tells you that I was staying quiet about it. You can't strike when a friend of mine says something about on the forums. As long as the White EVO8 owner didn't post anything, it shouldn't have been any comments from you or employees of Kingpin.

We have become a strong force in the Subaru Community and expect to have that same effect here. You will see a lot of cool and exciting things coming out of our camp over the next few years and I think time will tell who we are and what we can bring to this community. The thing is that we are enthusiasts at heart. We love these cars and love racing. We will continue to build award winning magazine featured cars because that is what we love to do.
Dave is a great guy, an honest guy, and will be spear heading our full fledged campiegn into the EVO Market. We will be offering a new line of innovative products, rare and hard to find items from Japan and worldwide, JDM Imported Cars and Clips, Tuning, Tech, and much more. If there is anything you need feel free to contact him or anyone here at Kingpin. We look forward to the challenge of competing within the very skilled and diverse Mitsubishi market. Thanks.
I have a web page of all the pictures and videos of my car. I have invoices from Kingpin, tow truck invoices, and the emails from Mike Wagle to my broker asking to sub-lease after our first meeting, and more. If this post continues, and I hope not. I've talk with Clarke about a meeting of getting this issue resolved, and I hope he gets back with me, and I will not post the link. American Express saw it, and they were like damn!! So I hope this will not go any futher. And also I hope you have the best of luck in the EVO market. :-)

Nobody wins. You guys both lost a lot here.
one of you should of just let ugliness go, otherwise one of you is going to become the next, you know who (that shop back when that's not here anymore).

Either way, i am not here to argue. Me posting in this thread was purely to make sure steve was happy, which he is so my job is done. I could not control all the hate being spewed against us, and i am sure that was not Steve's intention of this thread.

Be safe,
Jay, I can definitely understand your frustrations. I took my S2K to a shop (no names need to mentioned) to have a clutch installed. The S2K had a Comptech supercharger with aftercooler (air to water) and the shop crossed the air line with the coolant line and ran coolant through the motor. I ended up taking the guy to court and won. I don't condone taking people to court but I now will use AMEX for any purchase in regards to modding. I have heard both great and bad things about Kingpins install jobs. They have a select group of loyal customers. If I decide to get the EVO next year I will research everything before I mod it like I did the STi. The shop that did my STi was nothing but top notch. They scheduled time for me on days they were closed, bent over backwards for me and now have a friendship with them over a business relationship. I have heard the same things about Kingpin and it's a shame what happened to your car. I have not seen the pics or videos because I wouldn't know what in the heck I am looking at.
It will be nice to have another performance shop opening up in the Valley. It will definitely ad to the competition. Maybe the bickering will stop and everyone can just move forward. I hate to see the bashing because as it was said earlier ...."we all share the passion of cars". I think it would be a great thing to have the local shops have an autox day and see who comes out on top. I guess more people see the cars as 1/4 mile monsters and not autox cars. To each its own I guess... Best of luck to you Jay in regards to your shop.

Everyshop make mistakes from time to time. Just be man enough to admit it, not lie about it. I would love to see the pics and video Jay, I'm glad you made the right decision to come out and talk about it to let ppl hear the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth.

Personally, if you were not there as an employee when this occured I don't think you should be speaking on behalf of the company you work for. Your only speaking of hearsay.

Thanks for those who are giving me a chance.
