Being an old timer on this forum I witness the less A/C RS version in person

 

who cares, at least its not a lancer.

 

Don't worry if someone laughed at you. Who cares about power windows, locks, etc. I think the RS is a better deal than a straight VIII. It brings down the price to under 30,000, which is amazing for the kind of performance. I was actually going to buy an RS but I didn't want red or white. The only thing that would have bothered me about it was the wingless fact. I had to have a wing.

 

I have a straight VIII. Does that make me less respected than a MR or his GSR? I would expect a comment like that from an STi, but we're all in the Evo fam, so don't sweat it. Regardless of whether you have A/C or a wing, you still have an EVO. That's all you need and there's no reason to hate on that.

 

If you guy read the thread this other guy created before the mods deleted you would know the whole story.

Supposely this guy likes the RS and was annoyed and claimed AtO-MiX, yelling out "I have an RS what do you have"? He took it as bragging and just said that to be an a$$.

 

he was an idiot! Love your car and don't listen to anybody's BS! That was all you could afford! I get crap too cause an '02 Lancer OZ was all I could afford back in '02 and I'm just working with what I got and there have been people thattalk about everybody cause we don't have EVOs (hence the NEWB comment 4 posts up), but life is about working with what you have and not trying to run down the mountain with a bucket full of water. Shoo I would take that if that was all I could afford too. Just be happy to have an EVO! I hear it's a wonderful thing to have!

All EVO's are good. Just different models for fitting the needs of different owners. Attitudes are a whole other story!

Something doesn't sound right with the story. The guy had to be a real idiot to say that. I think I've seen your RS a few times on the road. I used to have a black 03 evo but now I have a black 04 sti. There's a few evo's and sti's at UTSA. If customer service ever improves at Mitsu and I get another evo, it will be a white RS.

 

RS's are a great bargain and the only performance thing they lack that might be missed is Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. I hate people that get all cocky just because they have an MR edition or whatever. This kid last night was like "yeah I have an MR but I wrecked it last night...dude but my MR is so badass way faster than '03s and dude you should get some gauges because it looks cool bla bla bla" It's just these kids that get cars that didn't earn them and they don't really know what the car is for. Tell them to shove it up their ***.

 

My first choice was the RS. I was gonna buy it becuase of the price. You get the same if not a bit better performance, because of the weight for a lot less. I only got the GSR because it was the last one the dealer had left and I just had to get one while I had the chance.

 

I have a regular 03 evo and if I could do it over again, I would waited for the RS to come out. Looking back, I'd rather have that for many reasons.
