hey ppl just got off of work..i live in SA texas on my way home a black evo pulled up to me..i followed the guy to a school parking lot so we could talk etc anyways we get there get out of our cars say wuts up etc...so in the convo the guy asks me what yr and model my evo was i told him it was a 04 RS..ok when i said that the guy just laughed and then got back in his car as he was walking back he said the RS is a waste of money and that the 04's are the worst evos he then took off....he drives a GSR.. i understand that the GSR is all nice inside with the power everything but there was just no way i could get that the RS was all that i could afford..how do u guys feel about the RS

oh i am..i am real proud and real lucky to have it...but when i heard his comment i was like u bastard..cause i have talked to other ppl before and they are like the RS isnt really an evo but its still a tight car...the guy seemed cool but came off as a real hooker..i have talked to other EVO owners and Sti owners around here and they are all very kool so i guess it was about time i met up with an idiot..

 

theres always gonna be cocky people out there...forget him....and isnt the rs light weight? i have a gsr...that dont make me any better...rs, gsr, or mr...dont matter...im just happy that i have an evo!!! ill continue this in the morning...gettin tired....

There'll always be haters. People even hate on the MR sometime (there was a huge thread on it.) Anyways, an RS is definitely an Evo and no less of one at that. It has its virtues just like the other two. It also made the kelleybluebook/forbesauto list of 10 fastest production cars.

 

True, some people go thru a lifetime wishing for a car with this type of calibre.. Just dont pay any attention to idiots like that ..

 

What? Last time I checked the RS was the fastest straight line evo, because of less weight and no wing.

n-e-wayz sorry that u ran into a di*khead evo owner. if u been around this board enough u will see that there is a lot of them motherf*ckers around. but f*ck what someone says about the RS. i have a couple of friends that would love to get their hands on any versions of the evo. either a RS, GSR, MR, 03-04, or 05. an EVO is an EVO. the only difference is 05 and up or closer to the actual JDM versions.

just be happy u have an evo. sh*t ur RS probably will hold its value better than his GSR. since the RS and MR are the limited edition evos.

I love RS EVOs. Everytime I see one at the drags or autocross, I know they're serious and they're usually fast.

 

He is just being a DI[K!!! an RS is a great car to have its meant to be a raced car with the lighter weight and everything. I dont understand why people have to be a$$holes!!

 

RS, GSR, MR? whats the difference they all have the same powertrain. Thats like comparing colors to me.
