OMG.. this is funny.. Obviously no one is going to side with the S2000... look at the the title of the forums you are on. Besides the evo has been modifed than remodified 8 times so far?.. hence Evo 8... perhaps when S2008 comes out.. something can be derived but you are talking about a Honda...
I apologize for the long post
Joe - I want you to know that I absolutely love the S2000 - a sleek, beautiful machine that Honda uses to flaunt it's technology. It's certainly not the fastest car out there, nor is it the best in handling, but for the $$ it's not too bad IMO. I would have gotten one in a heartbeat if I thought the monthly payments were well within my budget, but it wasn't, so I got an RSX... blah...blah...blah... With that being said, I'm going to ask you take a look at the following links.
First, the top ten lemon cars. I've never heard of these guys who compiled the list, and I think it may be involved with some law firm, so take it for what it's worth.

Then, check out this link. Interesting conspiracy theory, eh? I mean, thousands of S2000 owners are deliriously happy with their cars, right? But how does that cliche go? Ignorance is bliss. Maybe it's all a big hoax, who knows? But when you're shelling out $30K+ for a car, it's certainly not comforting knowing that a dealership may OR may not help you should something go wrong. click here

Something tells me he has a Civic DX with a big *** wing.
The good thing about the S2000 is that you don't need a roll bar for the 1/4 mile because the chance of breaking into the <14sec range is highly unlikely.

sorry man but i must say im jealous, i wish my parents helped me out. Obviously though if it were going under my own insurance i wouldnt want to even think about how much i would have to pay a year for an evo or an s2000
