With that power I wouldn't think you did. With 333whp, you should be near 400 at the crank. Whereas a stock Cobra puts 390 at the crank so it's wheel hp should be in your ball park. Then again your car is lighter.

Cobra gives up close to 400-500 lbs. depending on which article you read regarding curb weight.

That equates to roughtly 40-50HP, plus Cobra drivers are generally fat rednecks so you'll gain another 100 lbs there.

LOL

even the simplest of mods make a cobra go fast. my friend has one and i was in it last week. it was not blindingly fast but i couldnt keep up with him up top. he has an intake, exhaust, tb, intake manifold and a smaller pulley. this thing screws. he claims it to be an 11 second ride but im not sure!

It's so weird to be on a car message board where people are capable of running with Cobras. Well, that Cobra sounds pretty nasty but like everyone else said - nail your launch and it should be yours. You have the AWD against him so your launch is clutch to the race. Good luck!

Ya, it should be close, if not a win for the evo.

Don't just play by his game, add curves to the race. I bet he will not race you! You will eat him alive.

03 cobra with just flowmaster pipes? You will take him.
Just watch out for the ones that claim they have a 2.8 pulley, ported blower, etc.

ahem... they dyno close to 380whp stock i highly doubt he can take them from a roll with his mods.. add some alky push it to 26 pounds now you got something but in a 1/4 should be no problem.

I took a cobra with my stock evo(277whp)..and yes I have dynosheets...

The cobra had some type of exaust and maybe more.

The reason I beat him is that I had a very good start...the cobra on the other hand, was trying to show off and lost the race....

I agree stock for stock, my car always ran pretty even with the cobra until about 120 where it would pull ahead, with the few mods I had early on I could stay ahead until about 130.. with the mods I have now I can stay ahead by about a half car with a modded cobra. (from a standing start, My Evo always could get quite a bit ahead..)

From a dig (if you know how to launch well) it should be a pretty clean win for you. From a roll it should be very close.

Sorry buddy.

Stock for stock on a roll the cobra will eat the evo alive. Face it evo have problem going against a srt4 from a roll. Dman stock evo runs too rich on top but we're not talking about stock vs stock.

From a dig it all depends on the evo's lanch. From a roll it will be close.
