Unless your packing a upgraded turbo it would very hard to hang with a pullied cobra from a roll.

My 03' Cobra trapped almost 89 mph when I had it and it was 100% stock. It doyned 390hp - 375trq with 1500 miles on a DynoJet.
My EVO with intake, 264's, 3" tbe, and custom tune is trapping right at 85 mph on 93 oct.
Stock for stock a Cobra will eat a EVO alive from a roll. Hell....even a modded EVO at that. 03-04 Cobra genrally dyno 360-370 to the wheels when in stock form and weigh about 300 lbs. more than a EVO.
2340-240 whp in a 3250 lbs EVO < 370-380 whp in a 3600 lbs Cobra
The ONLY way a EVO has a chance with the stock turbo is from a dig, alot of mods, and race gas on high boost.

a stock EVO will get manhandled by a LS1 stock for stock, and a LS1 will get manhandled by a '03 Cobra stock for stock...
^ thank you for making it clear. people gota start realizing evo is a track car and cobra a drag car. you cant expect the evo to win against a drag car when mildly modified, couple of grand in the cobra and its getting in 420whp and on the flip side it will outhandle the cobra in any condition
This whole the EVO is a track car is getting a wee bit old. That's what the FD 93+ Rx-7 guys have been saying for years and the FD is not some all dominating track car.....nor is the EVO.
Cobra's are not bad handling cars. They will never hang on a small sub 1.00min road course or on a autox given equal drivers......but
On a longer course with a substantial straight away really levels the playing field, but again that stuff all comes down to driver. What do most roadcourse nut's say the best mod is? Most say go to a Skip Barber 3 day basic and advanced course before you even do any mods besides tires. They used to have a video out 5+ years ago of a toyota tercel lapping a toyota supra. One had a pro driver the other was just a run of the mill enthusiast.....road course is all driver.

Plus...It's very very sad that it takes a built V8 with a supercharger to keep up with a 4 CYLINDER 4 DOOR family car that is built on MODERN Technology.
Yah, keep living in the STONEAGE..

Braniac, what part of the 4.6 DOHC is 1950's technology? It's people like you that know jack about cars in general that give import afficionados a bad name. Just to enlighten you in the end most performance 4 stroke piston motors are all the same in HP/L. They have 2000hp turboed 4.6L, 1000hp 2.0, 1500hp 3.0 it's all the same just what are your goals or what floats you boat.
Some people don't want to run race gas to push 600awhp. Some people want a car they can drive 1000 miles and just put in good ole pump gas and still push 600+hp. That is one huge advantage of a bigger displacement motor not too mention the TQ and low speed acceleraton.
Ive walked on 2 03 Cobras, one stock, one with exhaust from 3rd gear roll-ons. However, my boost is at 22psi. Your 20psi can present a problem. I did it without the FMIC too, but I did have lower IC piping.
As long as he isnt pullied, you SHOULD be ok. They are FAST from a roll-on, even stock. Me and the pullied Cobra with exhaust were neck and neck from 2nd to the top of 4th.

From a dig it all depends on the evo's lanch. From a roll it will be close.
