Be patient guys.....so far I've only found one dealer that has sold an evo in CA. Most the dealers are still sitting on their inventory thinking people are going to flock over there. Tustin Mitsu has increased the markup from $4995 to $9995, and $12995 for some of the more rare colors like silver.

I got to drive in one today. The sales manager told me to hop in while he moved the car from the back lot to the showroom. The car feels really solid and the engine makes these space-age whining and buzzing sounds. It sounds like it's dying to be raced LOL. It's surreal drving in the car. It's really nice and stiff.....even the seats are nice and stiff. The tightened all the screws on this puppy!

Several dealers have confirmed to me that the markup will last 90 days. Looks like we have to wait guys. I guess I can use that time to save up more down payment!

If we don't like their tactics we can stop them from posting. Concord, Mark F, and Firball all have contributed greatly to this sight and have been an asset in information gathering. They do not however go off on an avertising rampage like some other have. It's the others that I am speaking of (Mitsbiz) that are going to get annoying.

thanks for the support, agh i cant talk enough about how good it felt, they designed this car perfectly id say, and in regards to power vs the sti, itll probably save you all some money in insurance, we all know its easy to open the evo up to 300hp if the car isnt just underated anyway.... if youre having trouble deciding, just go see it, i personally would feel like a dork in the wrx, im into performance, i drive a 92 galant vr-4 and i just sold my 98 eclipse gsx to get an evo myself, im tired of driving around and looking like a dork to the uneducated viewer, if not for my blow off valve turning heads, id get no satisfaction out of its image... this evo has something i think the sti doesnt, class. p.s. i dont like pink writing on my car, i dont live in san francisco

You should learn to spell before you try to sell a $5k over MSRP car here, at least we'll give you more respect. It's "Peace Out"

Keep holding your breath!

You guys crack me up!

Even IF all of our EVOVIII's don't sell right away, that's perfect!

The pure marketing and draw value of having a few EVO's in the showroom is enough of a reason to tack on a mark-up and keep'em here.

So, for those of you who think that dealers are going to drop the mark-up in six months.... Keep on holding your breath
For the rest of you... call me (xxx xxx xxxx).. we've got three left now and another eleven on the way.

Wow you actually sold 2 I wonder why no one has posted their cars here? Too embarrassed on what they paid?

You must be a big dealership to get 16 total? So which colors have you sold?

You advertise on a public forum in a manner you know will get responses resembling a prison break? Really professional.

I have a hard time understanding the demand for he car in the west cost. I talked to my dealer today, he sold his second car to a friend of mine that lives in Seattle. he still has one at mrsp. PM if you want more info. I believe my friend will take the black, the blue is the only one left.

I am in Michigan !!!

You do whatever you think is best with your EVOs.... the rest of us? We'll be driving our EVOs away at MSRP (however not from your dealership, aparently)

Why would I pay 5k over MSRP when I can get it for MSRP like 8 miles away? Not every dealership is reaming their paying customers.
