well, in so cal can anyone loan me about $50K?? This seems to be the current out the door price. Just called a couple places to get an update on the mark-up and most of them have gone up from $5K to 10K markup!!!! Its funny though, out of all the dealers I've called, only ONE evo has been sold between all of them. Smart dealer guys, really smart. Mitsu wants to sell a lot of them and the bottleneck starts at the dealers. Hopefully the mark-up goes away in 90 days like some of the guys said.

Mitzsbiz......On another topic other then $$, would it be possible to buy both the small and large wing, so I could change them with accordance to season? I asked my local dealer but he didn't have the cars yet, so do you know if the wings are detachable without having to cut metal? THanks in advance, and hope everyone relaxxxxxss a little bit

i have an idea. start a new forum called "greedy dealers charging way over msrp," and move all the threads there.

you canbuy both wings, but just get the large wing then buy the other from wings west or the dealers parts department, youll get a better deal on the bigger, more expenseive, hand made carbon fiber wing if you buy it on the car, the msrp markup is only about 480 which i think is cheap for what it is and being that youre paying dealer price.... they are the same bold patterns im almost positive, interesting idea but the other wing is just the lancer oz rally wing, i personally wouldnt want my car to be confused for that if i were getting this beast, not that anyone that knows anything about it would confuse them, they only share 2 panels, the driver doors, but i think when you see the large spoiler on the car you won't care anymore because its so sleek and doesnt look ricey or pretentious at all, jsut matches right up with the lines and says i dare you to race me, happy driving and good luck with your evo bud......

Just wait guys, the 350Z has been out for about 7 mos and most dealers in my area are no longer marking up. They actually have inventory now sitting on their lots. Just wait...

no offense or anything but youll need to wait for a salvage title one to come back to buy this car that far below asking, the gsx was a dime a dozen if you wanted it, this car is in more limited production, mitsu dealers would do anything to sell gsx's because mitsu was about to go bankrupt from 96-99, anyway, more power to you if you get a good deal, but if youre counting on your older patience to get you the car for a hefty discount right now, you might see your deathbed before that written contract, im sure if you tried to buy a 3000gt vr-4 back then it wouldnt have been the same story, anyway, not trying to hate, so dont regulate, good luck to all with your evos, hey by the way, our dealer is hoping to work a deal out with www.vishnutuning.com who are owned by the guy that does the project cars for sport compact car, they have one of 2 real awd 120,000 dollar dynos in the u.s., make sure and watch their website to see the best ways to make this car right, it is similar, but deffinetely not the same as the eclipse/talons, when you drive one that will become very apparents, it rips, the technology reminds you that those other cars stock run the same times as vw's, anywho, good luck to all and do whatever it takes to drive this car, its a dream......

This is RIDICULOUS!!! There should not be ANY adverts in this forum WHATSOEVER!! It should be held in a forum dedicated to vendor's etc. Just like nasioc.com. You dealers should show some more respect when your in here WE are the reason these cars are coming here and WE are the reason you even have the OPPORTUNITY to make money for a change. I was planning on coming down to Ont Mits to check your EVO's out this weekend (I would only deal with Jennifer) But now I wont do any business there.

My prediction is that Ontario Mitsubishi will lose 10-15 EVO sales for every 1 they sell at MSRP + gouge (largely because of Internet word of mouth). Don't let these dealers fool you. They use the same tactics whenever an "exciting new model" comes to US shores. Feel good about waiting or feel stupid when your buddy (who paid MSRP) asks why on Earth you paid $10K over just to have the car a few months earlier.

I was going to say something but I guess you beat me to it.

Uhhhh, maybe for all eclipses but from what I recall, the GSX was VERY hard to find. They never had the exact color or anything. Even driving around now, you dont see many GSX's. I see maybe one every week or two and I live in so cal.

Concord, you're a nice guy but seriously, if you talk about mark-ups you wont get far in here. You'll have everyone at your neck. Half the stuff you wrote I dont even understand what you're saying......seems made up. No offense, that's just how it is.
