If this in on the stock ECU, then you are at the limit that the ECU will allow in terms of boost.

Your best bet would be to just run 20-21 PSI until you get a reflash or some other form of tuning.

HOLY COW.

You guys are animals.

The Black units are sold out already.

More are on the way, but get in touch with Al/DynoFlash and Buschur as they will soon be receiving some more.

You needed to call him to get your name on the list.

The softer of the two included spring comes installed in the units. The stiffer spring is included in a small bag in the packaging.

What is the difference between having the softer vs. the stiffer spring installed?

Each one has it's own range of adjustment it will allow.

The actual boost pressure allowable with either spring, however, will be entirely dependant upon the base spring pressure of the wastegate actuator or external wastegate used in the given system being tuned.

Well so far I can tell you that you will more then likely want the stiffer spring. I left the soft one in it just for testing to see how it worked and the adjustment is very course, it took me 5 clicks to raise the boost 1 psi.

Otherwise though this controller kicks ***. Nice bracket and construction, wish I would have waited for the stealthy version though.

The amount of "clicks" required to turn up the boost any given amount was done intentionally to provide the most precise level of adjustment while retaining the detent/ratcheting feature.

Any fewer "clicks" wouldn't allow for such minute levels of adjustment if required.

Everything was done intentionally!

So would you recommend the hard or soft spring for use with near stock boost levels with the stock actuator?

Either will work.

Soft

If you use the softer one with the stock actuator, you will need to adjust it towards the higher side of it's range.

Stiff

If you use the stiffer one with the stock actuator, you will need to adjust it towards the lower side of it's range.

Yeah I understand the reasoning and I think it was a good idea. Wasn't trying to mar the product at all.

I know.

I just wanted everyone to know that we incorporated feature intentionally.

Laf -- I had the same issue when I first installed it and was trying to dial it in. I would turn it a few clicks at a time and it kept hitting only about 15 or 16 psi. Then I finally went under the hood and cranked the hell out of it . . . . 20 - 25 clicks maybe . . . to get upto 20 psi. My brother could see me from the passenger seat and he said it looked like I was trying to twist off a bottle cap

Either will work.

I'll stick w/ the softer spring for now then
