Perhaps a larger turbine housing would help too. Unfortunately I don't have the time resources to do the R & D. I'll wait it out until I can find someone that has hands on experience with building a combination that works well for road course usage.
Are you using a surge ported compressor cover? If not, then you should invest in one.

anyway... why did you let the good ol 1g go mj?
Testing different BOV's, Testing a Forge 1G valve now.. at least when the car comes back from the body shop... I have the old ones in boxes, but I had two or three 1G DSM valves, and the one with the leak stop kit seemed to disappear recently, probably tossed in a box and forgot where I put it.

Yes, I have a ported compressor cover. Surge is not a problem while under WOT conditions, only during part throttle under boost.

Actually most of the GT35R turbos being sold now have exactly that - holes drilled in the cover of the compressor

Here is the turbo I am thinking of trying out with my new stroker engine - notice the holes they drilled

Yah, thats what I understood it as.. But the image was a compressor cover that looked like swiss cheese.. all over.. I have a spare compressor cover, I should take a look at it and see how much meat there is for something like that.

Although I am no engineer - from what i have read certain compressors can actually pick up in certain areas of the compressor map with some holes drilled in the cover or a surge port

that is called surge porting. you might not wanna take a hand drill to it tho... something more precise is better. fp does it for a price... you can also get a surge ported ring.

Buschur may be my friend and I want him to do well - BUT - facts be known I DOP NOT make any money recomending Buschur 20G's. I have no 20G's to sell and I dont get any referal fees.

I could just as easily be saying that the XZY brand turbo is the best - it does not matter I dont sell either

I am simply a tuner - period

I want my customers to get the best parts possible and the 20G is something I think they will enjoy

If the turbo turns out to be weak and suck - then my credability is shot

I don't think I would suggest it unless it was performing really well in my tuning

Take my suggestions for what they are - simply a suggestion

Al thanks for the review and the great feedback to the responses!

Since we're all talkin' 20G, I thought I might bring this turbo up.

A 20G titanium aluminide wheel in a TME 6.5 sounds like a good choice to bring spool back to stock levels...
