Radar Detector Mounting Locations?
Just wondering where you guys put your detectors? IMHO, I don't like using the suction cups because in the past, they've fallen off and if left in one spot for a long time can leave marks on the windshield. I was trying to find some places where I could put some velcro, but thought in the center of the dash looked really bad... so I put it over here (yea, it's wireless, so that helps).
Just wondering where you guys put yours.

I put my V1 at the top of the windshield to the right of the little sun blocker by the rear view. The V1 come with three sets of high quaility suction cup, I've never had a problem with them. Also I have it mounted so I dont have to lean forward to use it and can still use the sun visor (but I usuall dont, i just use sunglasses). It is also hard wired. In my WRX I had it hard wired and hard mounted. I want to hard mount it in the EVO but there was no place to hard mount it up high.

I just used the standard suction cup mounts and adjusted my mirror as high as it would go. This allowed the V1 to be mounted high still. Range is excellent and with mirror adjusted visibility is unchanged.

For optimal detection your unit should be mounted as high as possible. Refer to the valentine 1 website-http://valentine1.com/moreinfo/pdf/mounting_pg17-18.pdf
