That is the best photochop I have ever seen!
Glad your wife is OK
By the time I get insurance it will be $10,000.
Don't anyone else crash!!!!!!
Since there are fewer Evolutions, does the value of the rest of the Evolutions go up now?(kidding)(relax)
You could part that car out for probably $50,000.
You have the only spare parts in the country!

If you part it out, Ill take the seats and the wheel....
Sorry to see your loss, but the most important part was no loss of life. In the grand scheme of things a car (albiet a bad *** Evo) is just a car.

First off, glad everybody's okay. It sucks for the car to be totalled already but it's not like they aren't churning them out by the dozen.
a: Being inexperienced or inadequately educated isn't the sole reason for every accident. It could be that, or overconfidence, or lack of self-control, simple bad luck, or a combo of those factors and more. I had a big accident many years back due to all of the mentioned in some way - too fast on a country road, hit some mud left by a random tractor, lost the back end, braked (instead of hitting the gas which is what I should've done) spun and hit a tree. I countersteered, but unfortunately at the time that was about as far as my understanding of skid control went. Had I known about the friction circle, I might not have been walking to the train station for the next six months
b: There are as many terrible and clueless men drivers as women. Hell, just the other day I saw a guy driving along the freeway shaving his shiny bald head. What the target demographic is for the Evo is irrelevant. Any person, male or female, with the desire (and the insurance) to drive the Evo is going to listen when you explain about the power and the quick steering and stuff. And either gender can and will crash them even so.
c: The fact that the Evo is derived from a rally car hardly precludes it from rolling.. have you guys ever seen a rally?

Wow, condolences on the car man. Glad the wife is ok though.Steel, rubber and glass..all replaceable. This won't be the last time we see this unfortunately.
Anytime you get a fairly high-strung car, especially with a powerful turbo engine that spools-up hard, you are going to have situations where the car gets people in over there heads before they can correct. I just saw a post the other day with a shot of a new silver EVO 8 with the front passenger door mashed in. New owner supposedly went on a test drive with his salesman and it got loose in the gravel and hit a telephone pole.
The WRX is one of these kinds of cars as well. The AWD gives you a sense of invincibility and surefootedness which in turn prompts drivers to feel more secure than they have a right to be. I can remember test driving my Syclone in the rain before buying it. That turbo kicked in and I was in a 45mph sideways drift...talk about pucker-power.
Good luck on getting things straightened-out and finding a new car!
