Hi,

I just went to Mitsubishi Loop 401 in San Antonio(TX) today and I was able to see a regular Evo 9 Dark Graphite Gray, it was not an MR.

Unfortunately the delaer still did not have any pamphelts of any kind so I have no way to see the colors availability for the Evo 9 production neither they had the MSRP ready yet.

Does anyone know what colors are stock for each model? If they have the dark GG for the regular Evo 9 then what type of colors are we expecting on the MR?

Thats crap! Why couldnt they leave GG MR exclusive.

 

i noticed every dealership is starting off with the GG 9 wonder why that is? so i take it its no longer so special as it used to be.

 

I was shocked when I saw it... There was a distintive color for the MR, same thing with the Yellow on the regular EVO 8 and the two blues on the EVO 8, basicly the colors make the differences.

Have anyone got the Dark GG EVO9 so they can add some comments?

 

they took out the yellow and replaced it with the GG. the GG was already available in the Evo 7. its not an exclusive color to the MR.

 

I prefer the MR in Medium Purplish Gray Mica.

the color has been a hot seller for the mr8, so imo, mitsu wants this success to carry over to the 9

but the gg color isnt special anymore. so much for last years mitsu sales pitch as the gg being an exclusive color only to the mr

 

I just wish they left the colors alone, and made the trim levels the same as the rest of the world markets.

yeah granted GG sold pretty well, but look at why it sold pretty well, with only four color choices on the MR VIII's last year I too would have gone for GG.
I like dark cars.
if it was offered in black I would have got that color.
So my color choices this year on MR trim are the same, so GG it will be, which will lead them all at MMNA into thinking, wow this GG sells really well, maybe we should carry it over to the X
I was also told that the colors are up to the dealers, so that if you request a special color ie Black MR when you order your car, they should be able to do it, after all it is not like the car is handpainted.
if the dealer sales guy says no then speak to the Sales manager. I mean on a $40,000 car I want at least a couple more color choices.

All they would have to do in Japan is run the MR shell through the conveyor when they are spraying black and hey presto it, ain't rocket science. They already did it for the other world markets on both the IX GT trim and IX GSR trim.
If more of us start requesting different colors on the MR trim level when we order our cars then maybe we'll get that color.
Don't get rail roaded by the dealer, we all know they are full of it.
I do think it is possible to get the other 2 colors on the MR trim, Black and Electric blue, We need to start requesting it guys.

Before anyone flames me, no I don't want to get the straight Black IX SSL, I don't care about a sunroof, and I don't really care for the new Enkei's to me the price difference between the IX SSL and the IX MR is minimal but look what you get with the MR trim spec, 6 speed gearbox alone isn't cheap, same with the BBS rims $1000 each including tires, thats $4000 straight away just for rims and tires, that right there more than makes up the cost difference.
WE NEED TO START REQUESTING THE OTHER 2 COLORS IN THE MR TRIM.
