The driver obviously knows nothing about cars. If he did he would know he just put a $12,00 front wheel drvie Focus on his bed, instead of a $35,000 awd EVO. I be in jail, for assault, right now if that was my Evo.

 

Needless to say, if something like this happened to me...well you could just see me on the 6 oclock news.

 

I'd have to agree and in the repo guys defense they generally don't care how the car gets obtained...just as long as it is obtained.

Tow truck drivers dont give a shiet, most of them dont even know the Evo is an AWD car. Its the owners responsibility to request a flat bed truck! Sux to see this..

I agree... its the responsibility of the owner to request the flat bed (if you are there) when it gets towed. I wouldn't even want my car back after that. Thats a good 4 g's right there.

Can the tow truck driver really be held liable? I mean if they send him out to repo the EVO and he doesn't have a flatbed and hooks up the EVO--ultimately getting damaged, I don't see why the driver himself should be liable. It should be the company or something. What if there was an employee that just didn't know anything about cars? Heck, I've seen a Mustang getting towed with the front wheels up and the rear wheels dragging shouldn't it be the other way around?

 

if you were making $8 bucks an hour and towing a 30k car that you could never aford. would you give a **** how you got your job done?
