If you want to mod your car, learn how to add mods, do basic diy, and just learn more about cars I would look into a nice used manual WRX. They can run from 12-15k, yet have AWD, and are really fun cars to drive and mod.
No...i donot plan to mod my Evo (future) enginewise.
One thing that ihave in my mind is just putting a blue neon light underneath.
lol..

I love Evo for what it is.
It took my heart away when i first saw it....
and i *think* that i donot need to learn stick anymore... i *think* i know how to drive a stick....
I may be wrong.. please correct me

I cant imagine myself at 16 getting into a car like an Evo just the way its setup and your kinda small at that age.

DUDE TRUST ME it'll be very intimidating getting into the car and leaving the dealership and going onto real highways. Keep in mind your 16 and havent driven for crap except around your town doing easy stuff.

YOU CANNOT handle highway traffic 80mph speeds at 16 I would be too nervous atleast.
Im learned stick and took my drivers test on stick and didnt stall once and was driving a Hyundai Accent 2 door (now totalled from a friend drifting into our lane wrecklessly head on first month he had license) No matter how good of a driver are you can't react to a situation like that so It's better to have a POS till your friends get better.

After I learned stick my parents bought a truck and learned the physics of RWD and a truck is fun in the snow you can drift, because you wont be able to bring the Evo out in the snow that reminds me... you've never driven in snow have fun stopping.

But If you do buy it let Karma be on your side

Nope, i donot need to ask what to get..
I want an Evo...

But that doesnt really justify that i deserve an Evo..
i dont want to 'hurt' it.

Sometimes i wonder, would anyone consider getting cars as their 'wives'?
lol

for someone as spoiled as you, i SERIOUSLY doubt this is true. i had a friend who got a Type R when he was 15, and his lil bro got an RX-8 when he turned 16. i know your type. you drive the sh*t out of perfectly nice cars, ruin them, and move on to another car to ruin. after all, your parents are made out of money.

if a person is not sure they even know how to drive stick, they dont deserve an evo.. or any high performance car for that matter. I guarantee this is the reason why we see evos at teh track running 15 and 16 second 1/4 miles with mods.

i'm 17. i know a few kids with fast cars (350Z, Supra, Sti, Evo) and i would never in a thousand years trust myself to get in a car with them. a kid in my grade got an evo for his 16th birthday. i said to my brother "i bet he crashes it in 3 weeks." 2 weeks later he flips it over, totals it, breaks his arm, causes a kid to get his jaw wired shut, and the two other kids in the car got concusions. im glad it happened. then he was "punished" by being bought an infinity SUV. no one my age deserves an Evo. if my dad offered one to me, id probly take it, but not as a first car. but that will never happen. am i jealous? yes. do i value my life? yes. do i think youll get whats coming to you when your dad buys you the car? yes. and i hope it does. also, dont bull**** me with the "im different from other 16 year olds." i am a very responsible person. no tickets ever, no crashes, i go to school and work for my money 5 days a week (and ive been doing it since 2004), ive never gotten lower than an A in a class in my life. if i had an evo theres no way i wouldnt do 40 mph pulls on the highways and drive fast through backroads. we all know yer lying when you say this. ive driven my friends (he's 24 and pays for his car) STi, and trust me, its not a car that someone with your driving skill can handle.

in conclusion. you dont deserve this car. i dont care how many A's you get in chemistry class. your parents never learned how to raise children. you dont bring up a good kid by spending 35K on them for no reason. if anything, that just hurts you in the future. dont be a ******. just get an Si.

and the biggest thing is NEVER TELL ANYONE THAT IT'S YOUR CAR. its your parents and you've done nothing to earn it. if you do. ill personally come to texas and give you a texas sized *** kicking.

i could have made this post more civil. but my point comes across better this way.

BTW the evo was my first manual car as well, and I wouldn't consider myself a good driver by any means but i'm more than capable of "handling" an evo. It's not hard to go to your local speed way and sign up for a couple of lessons for 100 bucks. And by this i don't mean how to properly launch or how to heel toe down a canyon, but the basic things as downshifting to proper speeds, and shifting "nice." Stop hating on this guy... we all wish we had an evo when approaching 16...especially when his family is financially sound enough to afford it. BtW... Go with the evo.....I just traded cars with my friends 350Z for the weekend and I demanded a trade back before saturday was over. The damn thing is slow... I don't care how much horsepower it has at the crank. As for the 2006 Sti... that things just ugly imho.
16 an 19 are a pretty big difference. If he's like all other 16 yr old kids with fast cars, he is not ready.

But just to add. i know many specualte that young people like me are immauture and do stupid stuff like speed though traffic. and i just want to tell you that i am not that kind. putting in play that my dad taught me how to drive. i will never try to do something stupid. let alone something to my car. the one thing i hate the most is losing my dad's trust. as you can see i am really really respectfull and always thinking of what my dad will say if i do something. i am not saying i am a perfect child. but i will leave the reckless driving out of my life for awhile.

maybe anand understands. indian parents are sometimes very strict. but it worked on me. i fear upsetting my dad, i am really being serious.
Yeah thats true about your dad. I have alot of indian friends and their parents are strict.

But another thing also, when other people are pressuring you to do stuff with your car then thats a different story. If you can resist every mustang reving at you and trying to race then you'll be fine.

I bought the Evo when I was 18 and learned stick on it in the mitsu parking lot. I've known the concept but never really applied it.

So here I am almost 20, Evo has 34k with stock clutch after going to the track 12+ times and running a 12.9.

Your statement is false.

this guy is joking around right? as for your previous post, there is no way you would not be sure you knew how to drive stick if you've been driving stick for over a year.

anyway, if it's all jokes, your comments were funny. i laughed.
