Test pipe + High flow cat

Hey guys, I recently went to court to fight my exhaust ticket, because my exhaust was to loud, they never checked if i was catless, but I won the appeal, my only problem is i have a helix test pipe, and helix high flow cat in my basement, is there any way at all that i can make the test pipe, look like a real cat, but what's really under the cover is a test pipe?

I know I can probley gut the high flow cat, but it wouldn't be the same.

You could weld the casing of the cat onto the test pipe so it looks like a cat.. but I would recommend a muffler like Magnaflow if you want to quiet it down...

These guys used to sell a shell that could be tacked onto a test pipe, not sure if they still do. I would contact them because when they did it wasn't listed on their website. http://www.ultimate-racing.com/

Buschur Racing did it for me. They had to cut open a cat to weld the shields over a test pipe.

If you get a 3" HF Ebay cat it is actually 3" ID and most piping is 3" OD and thus this will fit into another, then you weld this straight piece through the cat and then you have it, a testpipe with a shell. They will never know the difference unless they unbolt the cat and inspect, which will take a court order to do. Knocking out the cat material takes long screwdrivers and a hammer but it is very possible. Any "undertsanding" mufflershop will weld this for you but not actually install it on to the car.

Replace the test pipe with the high-flow cat. You won't feel the difference.
