So let me get this straight... You can Get a Megan catback for like $300 and an HKS for like $550... That's a whopping $250 difference... You guys spent $30-40K on a car and you're making a huge deal out of $250 bucks??? Doesn't seem like alot of money in the grand scheme of things...

Are you serious? What kind of thinking is that? Just because the car cost 30k doesn't mean I want to throw away cash when I buy mods.

No doubt! And when did a $30k car become an "expensive" car? Sounds like you guys just bought a new M6 or something similar.

You know what I love more than cheap parts? Cheap and used parts.

P.S. Thank you Megan.

And Mayhem, you know what you can do with an extra $250 that isn't wasted on an HKS exhaust...a 2-day road racing session...but most of these guys never step foot near a track.

True, but it's off season, so I'm going with strippers!

Tell you what, next time you get mods, get the least expensive one and paypal me the difference between that and the cheapest one.

It's only money, right?

I don't want a noob to see a vendor tout their "very inexpensive" exhaust, when it's no better than one that costs MUCH less. That's all...just lookin' out for the rest of EvoM.

I am not sure about Megan Racing as I do not deal with their products. If there is ANY problem with a TurboXS exhaust they cover it. The quality and customer service turboXS offers is just amazing. Just because Turboxs pieces are not cheap EBAY type products does not mean they are expensive. Everyone is intitled to their opinion so if you like the megan racing exhaust go ahead and get it but do not bash me because I give an alternative. As in most things in life I am sure in one way or another you get what you pay for whether is be fitment, quality, performance, or customer service.

I'm still looking for a used 3" TBE that is VERY light weight. I heard Bouscher is the lightest, so i've been keeping my eye open for one of those.

Back on subject: You want light and loud, go with Greddy Ti and your choice of HFC and DP. You want relatively light and not too loud, go with Buschur w/ Magnaflow. Im sporting one, my brother the other. We are happy with both. Buschur is the bargain of the turbo back bunch when considering weight and price.

We could argue HP all day, get the one that looks best to you and ignore all soundclips for the most part you find online. I checked out two Greddy Ti clips and they both sounded different to real life results.

Buschur clip on machV is spot on though.

As far as I'm concerned, they are all loud and it's just a matter of the tone and drone. Some are louder than others, but even the most quiet ones are pretty obnoxious. I removed my cat back and went back to stock. I don't mind the 10 WHP or so that I lost. For my taste (and all my friends who ride in my car agree), the car is much nicer to ride in now and really, nobody has noticed any power losses. Anyway, how could they? I don't race the car every time I drive. In fact, this MR has never been to the dragstrip and I can never drive it to it's limits in my daily use.

That's not too high for a catback purchased new from most vendors..... For what it's worth, I just sold my used 3" SS flow through catback with Magnaflow muffler and resonator for $200 plus shipping to anothe EVO owner.....

I agree with silverEvo8. I too removed my catback (AMS), and for the first couple of days I literally couldn't hear my car running, the sound difference was that dramatic. I must be getting old, but for the small gain in power it really wasn't worth the gain in noise for the catback, at least not on a daily driver.

Is Helix a good company to buy from? I was looking at their catback and was wondering is it worth the money?
