I'll have to check it out then. I do know although the Buschur has gotten good reviews, I think it's the ugliest thing ever.

Buschur is stock looking which has its benefits. Sure its not a beauty queen but it works and priced accordingly. Ships in a low protective box, main pipe ships naked, gets dinged up en route but it makes power and is light for those counting carbs. Sounds good too.

Sure, all exhausts will give you pretty much the same performance increases (as long as they are the same size and similar construction), but from there things can get very different. Some of them look like $hit, others fit like $hit and others are make like $hit. Also, customer support can be from excellent to abominable. The biggest factor however, can be the pride of ownership. Some ppl really enjoy having their car "pimped up" with nice expensive wheels, etc. Sure, some cheap wheels will perform just as well, but it's just not the same... Right? Why would the exhaust or any other part be any different? You want cheap? Go ahead and get cheap. But if you want to get something nice or cool, you just gotta pay the price

Oh yeah, if you really want to save money, you best not get the EVO, a decent used DSM Eclipse with the AWD and turbocharged engine can be had for a lot less money, and if you buy some cheap used parts you can have a car that will outperform the stock EVO in every way possible for less than half the total cost
And this is exactly the point I am trying to convey. Calling someone a dumbass newb, or an idoit for spending an extra 300 bucks on an exhaust is really what my beef is all about. It's like nobody on this board knows how to offer advice with any sort of tact...

And sure Warrtalon is full of useful information. I find a great deal of his (your) posts very informative. But with the "you're a stupid idiot because you dont know what i know" attitude that 90%+ of his replies to threads contain, I've come to the point of not even bothering reading any of them anymore. And the sad thing is that it seems to have started a childish trend that many of you follow.

And on the topic of "I've come to the point of not even bothering reading any them anymore.", it seems to me that a whole lot more people on this board could follow this advice the next time they see a "what BOV is best" or "What is the difference between a VIII and IX" thread. Threads dont turn into flame wars and eventually die when nobody replies. Thank You and I'm done.

I've got the Greddy Ti. It is loud and light and not for everyone, but I love the sound so much. It is a bit short of the bumper like a lot of JDM exhausts, but otherwise fitment is great and it does not hang down low.

I agree about letting those threads die, but if the person that posts them bumps them all the time trying to get an answer then they need to be told.

[Removed quoted commercial from non registered vendor]

Man, you are just out of control with your constant plugging of your business on all these Evo sites when you're not a registered vendor and when your prices are insanely high. You say this exhaust has some great features that a lot of exhaust companies don't have, yet just about everything you listed is standard, yet yours costs as much as a titanium Greddy or HKS cat-back. Why? Because of the 10 year "limited" warranty? Who needs a warranty on an exhaust? The SS you use is standard, the "precise fitment using factory hangers" is standard, TIG welding is standard, unobstructed flow path is standard, and completely polished is standard. Maybe the V-band is neat-o, but there's definitely nothing there that makes it worth $550 more than a Megan cat-back. You are not being objective at all when you answer these threads...you are just plugging your own product with complete disregard for what is best for EvoM members.

Greddy Ti is one of the better fitting exhausts out there from my experience. Right now I have issues with the HKS carbon Ti and its two silly mounting points that modify stock mounting points....classic example of over engineering. This is my third exhaust on my IX MR and Im not done yet it looks like.

I believe warr is right. He has modded his car the right way and knows what's good for it. I am convinced to buy the Megan TBE. Seems like it gets the job done and is the best "bang" for the buck. Is this the right one?

I am ALSO looking at this. I would love to get a Greddy Ti but $$$ is prohibitive.

This is $199 + shipping, and even to Asia with the full $150 shipping, it is STILL a total of only $350. Most Cat-backs alone cost well more than $350, and this thing comes as the ENTIRE turbo-back kit!

I'm just wondering how you found the quality... if it is okay (sure it doesn't need to last 10 years...) then I'd be happy to get it, unless there is something comparable from any other company?!

The word "performance" makes tons of money. Carbon fiber, titanium, blah blah blah. it's kind of like nike shoes. 5 bux to make 100 bux to buy.

You're lucky that there're many TBEs and member's feedbacks to choose from now. Back then in the beginning of 03 when I just got my evo, there was not much exhaust available at the times and not many help from others. So I got myself the AVO tbe for over $1300 installed. Ouch! Now that's hurt and damm expensive for the tbe. The only good thing about it is quiet that helped me get away from some popos here.

I'm still have it but in my garage. I switched to an inexpensive and used stright through RNR with maganflow muffler and damm sound louded but good. There's really not much different even for the neck down system. So just pick the one you like most even it's cheap.

Thank God someone else notices this. I've noticed that from day one about that guy. I don't mind getting advice as long as the person isn't an a-hole about it AND realizes his word isn't the word of God.

Oh...and I went with an AMS turbo-back
