No EVO for you, probobly no STi for you. There not cheap to maintain, high performance parts are Hi-Po but also wear.

Why do we have to convince you? You have to have enough faith in yourself to buy the car you want.

probably best to stay away from either. i think its worth it but i will spend to keep it up right. right off the bat your need to get snow tires or at least all season and thats an immediate 300-1000 out of your pocket. if reliablility is a concern then its hard to fault a 10yr 100k mile powertrain waranty but do what you like. just don't come back and complain if you do get the audi and it blows up.

First stop writing like you are in kindegarten. If you want a car that is descent and does not need alot of maintenance stick with what you have. If you worry so much about company support you are not ready for a Mitsubishi.

Keep your Subi Wrx... It sounds like it can meet your needs and not cost you too much extra.

The EVO isn't something that someone has to talk you into purchasing. It is for people that know what they want. If you want the best all around bang for the buc offered in the US market today then by an EVO. If not have fun with whatever you chose.

by dumping money into it i mean i want it to be reliable and dont want to have a broken tranny or anything. how reliable is an evo? have you guys had any problems with yours? maintaining it isnt a big deal im not broke lol thats why im concidering an evo or sti.

The evo is fairly reliable as long as your not thrashing it. Also if you mod it your warranty can be voided. Like others were saying, if you don't know that you want the evo, it is most likely not the car for you.

You think the EVO and the Suby are expensive? Wait till you have to bring that Audi in for something major.. Major $$$$. My manager used to have an A4 and he ended up selling it and buying a Camary cause every time he turned around he was dropping $1000-$2000 to get the damn thing fixed. And that was just the A4 not an S4.
Also I heard the S4's have "some", not a lot of tranny issues caused by some cost cutting action with using plastic parts in the tranny for internal parts. Heard that from a tech that works at one of the Audi dealers in the Cities here. So i find that somewhat credible.
