i can say that not all meters are perfect, my car is set to run at 20.5 but shows 22, once i get a boost controller i hope to get it up to 21 and maybe it will show almost 23. I got a Defi boost gauge

 

Must be nice. My stock '05 only spike to 18.5psi and falls to15-16 on an autometer mechanical gauge. Of course I have the slowest '05 know to man kind as well and this is probably the reason.

 

My peak boost hits 21 psi in 1st gear easily. it spikes to 24psi for a split second and drops to 21 in all gears. I have a TBE, K&N,custom tune by Al. i will be installing an AMC MBC and Walbro 255 shortly (gauge is an Auto meter mechanical). It spools very quickly ever since I installed the TBE, easily breaks the rear end loose in corners if i want it to.

 

If gauges are usually off then how can u really tell how much boost ur runnin ?

 

Dam I am sad..my 03 only goes to 19psi and then back to 16..if it is cold sometimes i get lucky and get 20psi..and then when it drops its like i just pulled a parachute hahaha..just so use to the topend of my old SI 60-1

 

the highest my 05 ever hit stock was like 1.6 bar consistently which is like 22 psi and it hit like 1.7 once in a blue moon and i have the defi gauges so i just hit peak and it shows it

My 05 has spiked to 23.5 on **** 91. Got to love the 10.5 hot side
