I'm not a tuner by any means but I'm pretty sure ignition timing has a lot to do with being able to run such high boost with crappy octane.

Currently we're driving around with the boost controller OFF.
There's just no need for this sort of power on the street, it could get dangerous REAL fast. Street driving shouldn't be and isn't a problem at all right now. It helps that the clutch is real easy to modulate and the way the motor acts is totally tollerable on the street.
