I haven't forgotton about this thread guys!!
We are anxiously awainting the dyno of the car. We are planning on throwing in a 280 exhaust cam for the next stage, with a possiblity of a stroker muhaha!
SP is very busy at the moment. They have the harness already, so we're just waiting to arrange some dyno time and get everything sorted out.
Results very soon, hopefully this week!!!

Almost there
Here is a small update, nothing much to see except for the light show inside the cabin hahaa. The car was fired up for the first time today and it purred! There was no hesitation thanks to the FCON! Dyno time should be this week sometime... we're getting very close to the end!
Here are some pictures of the FCON Harness that HKS sent over. The JDM EVO9 FCON harness plugs right into the USDM EVO9.
Enjoy!

Ed... dude... who did the wiring work on this? Butt connectors?! Electric tape?! Looks like a swap meet stereo job. The least that could have been done is soldering and shrink tubing the wires. That just looks so... ghetto...

you need to quit your day job at McDonalds, go there and do it the right way. While youre at it, design a completely new standalone.
great project evasive, thanx for sharing it with us

On a similar note, when we at SFP Beta tested the AEM EMS for the VIII we got one so early it wasn't even in a box. We had this thing sitting on the passenger floor plugged in sitting on an ESD disapative Mat. Would it be like that in the done car... uh no.

Lol guys, take it easy on PurgeIt! It's OK!! LOL!!!
Those aren't even buty connectors, they're the stock FCON connectors. I saw a FCON unit on an SW20 at SP yesterday while they were tuning and it had similar connectors. The electrical tape I believe is part of the adapter harness.
SP still needs to finish tuning and configuring, so theres no point in making it all pretty just yet! I'm sure they will before everything gets tucked away.
We are very excited for the completion of the project, its just a matter of days now!
Btw, EvoRobert, we're in Walnut in Southern California, not Walnut Creek, just to clear it up

In any case, clean wiring = lends to longevity and quality of the install. If you don't get it, that's your problem. Needless to say, the harness isn't a production unit so fine... I've run V-Pro in two cars (S14 SR20DET and a 13B-REW FD3S) and none of the HKS harnesses looked messy like that, hence my comment.
Regardless, I'm sure the guys at SP will hopefully clean up the wiring before final presentation.

you can run 2 maps on the vpro? buschur told me that i cant do that!!!
