Pics coming today? Haha sorry I've been lagging guys...
We're using HKS VPRO, and timmiii is right about the software. You need an HKS ProDealer to purchase the VPRO and tune it. No one else has the key to the software that allows tuning.

Hell... over 20 years in the US alone. They require dealers who want to become HKS Pro Dealers to have a certain level of equipment, training (you have to attend V-Pro training at their office) and so on. That is why you won't see your corner ghetto shop as a HKS Pro Dealer, yet why you'll see someone like Buschur as one. Your comment is completely off and ignorant of the truth.
both apexi and hks don't want their softwrae to get into the hands of inexperienced users who will then break something. that said there is pirated software that you can get ahold of. do you have hte nuts to learn it? that's up to you. but if you're famliar with stand alones there's soemthing like an encyclopedia of language conversion that you'd have to make.
that said... hks is here for the long haul? 20 years in the united states?
do you know anything about the developmental history of hks in the united states? how mnay times they've changed management? how many times they've had to revamp? hksusa is no more than a united states distributor for hks japan. they don't make anything for the united states market... think hard... and realize that what i'm saying is true.
that said... hks japan still makes fine parts but they're also not the solution you're looking for when it comes to ultimate winning. even on their ultimate winning cars... they're not using their off the shelf stuff. the us market is aggressive... companies like greddy are thriving... greddy pops out all kinds of max performance stuff... it's true that not all their stuff is the best but they're also making stuff for us spec cars.
hks is like a great grandpa in another country... and we're the ignored stepchild.

Mivec is still being controlled by the stock ECU. I don't believe there were any interference with the Mivec when the tuning was being done, although having a Mivec controller probably would have given us some better pickup/torque.
As I've stated earlier, this was all done on stock cams and stock intake manifold and throttle body. We're waiting for HKS to release their cam set as well as the Mivec controller. After that we will be retuning with a better intake manifold. Hopefully spool time will be sooner, torque will be higher, and the power band shifted to the left some more.
