Just tuned

I have an 04 Evo and I just got tuned.
I am having some issues with the numbers we got and I was wondering if they seem right because they dont really seem right.
I'll let you know what I have.
Apexi Power FC
Buschur 3 in TBE with highflow cat
MBC
Turbosmart BOV
Upper I/C pipe
Custom intake

Its on an AWD dyno putting down
265 whp
290 lb/ft torque
at 22 psi

I was thinking that the hp and torque should be closer together.
Thanks for all the help. I feel kinda lost with this tune.

What kind of dyno? And those hp numbers seem kinda low, but depends on what dyno you are on.

I used to hav buschur intake but they shop decided to put a new one in to get rid of the MAF. The new one looks like the weapon r intake.

We just had a boost leak, but it might have been in more than one place, we thought we had it fixed but maybe not completely?

The dyno is a dynapack awd dyno.
Thanks for the help so far.

Personally, I could care less what the dyno #'s say.
Take it to the track and find out what you're really making.

Dyno's are mostly for tuning purposes.
Do you have a graph, A/F readings ? ect...

You might think your HP is low but did you have #'s when it was stock or before it was tuned ? How much hp/torque did you picked up after the tune ?

.

That's very strange that they recommended a custom intake that removes the MAF when you have such minor mods. There is absolutely no reason to do that, and why do you have that Power FC as your tuning device? It's just a strange combo of mods, and I'm not surprised the numbers are low. We don't really know if your numbers are low, though, unless you provide track results, provide before and after results, provide baselines averages from other 03/04 Evos on the same dyno, and/or if you show us your AFRs along with timing.

No, he said Dynapack, which read close to Dynojets.

He said he has a Buschur TBE - the term "TBE" includes the downpipe.

Right now I don't have any graphs of A/F but i do have the numbers for before it was tuned.
Before it was tuned it had the same mods but the boost was held at 18 psi.

250 tq
230 whp

Thats about 35 hp gain and 40 tq compared to tuned
These to seem like very good gains, but I am not very knowledgeable about the subject. Just trying to learn though.

I will post some pictures up tonight, I have to upload them.

With the buschur and the stock intake, correct me if I am wrong, the BOV recirculates back into the intake. The new custon one just vents right from the UIC pipe to the atmosphere.
I am not sure what this does or if it is better.
I also dont really know why the shop is making the suggestions they makeon the upgrades for the car.

Thanks again for all the help.

Yes, removing the MAF and going with a speed density setup allows you to vent to atmosphere without any negative effects, but there is no gain from doing this and no reason to want to VTA. Going to speed density can be cool if you do it with the right tuning device and setup, and yes it requires a custom intake that removed the MAF. What I'm confused by is why the shop recommended this to you on an Evo and why you agreed to do it without coming here and researching first or to find out what mods are actually worth your money. there is absolutely no reason to have gone through all this trouble when you haven't even done cams yet, so regardless of what the shop recommended, it still comes back to your agreeing to do it.

What are you trying to accomplish...what are your goals?
