i enjoy my evo everyday, its a shame to see alota owners especially BBY owners getting rid of their cars. i did hear that the 02s and 03 evos had the most problems. but that wouldnt be a big enough reason for me to get rid of the car cause of a check engine light.

ok boys its a done deal!
I went to the dealer yesterday and the mitsu dealer was stuck on 20k TIV for my car! After a couple of hours I told him to **** off and stick it! He basically told me that the deal I got on my 04 then will not be given again!
This was after he gave me two Evo 9's to drive (mr and a gsr). after having the mr for 1/2 a day I decided that not only was my car worth more than 20k but that I liked the STI more!
I took it to the Subby dealer and his offer of 25k for my car stood firm and I just had to make an economic decision!
5k difference and a killer rate! (no dealer mark up)
So in my grage is an 06 STI white!
With that said my parts will be up for sale for sure now!
They include like new:
espy gt 500-free free flow cat
kart boy shift knob- blue top
stock pump
tubo timer
HMbc
Safc11 with AMS settings for 264/272, turbo back, 680 injectors, 20-23psi
magnacore plug wires
injen intake and hard pipe kit
like new floor mats
+++++
Feel free to send offers via pm!
They will be in for sale section soon!
I ll be back when he 10 comes around

good deal, I would've done the same considering the lowball offer mitsu gave you.

I too have also traded my Evo in-- and I certainly don't look back. There is far more to driving than handling prowess and flat out speed, and my replacement car is certainly no slouch. I just couldn't deal with the teeny boopers wanting to race all day and so much more. Let's just say I went with a luxury marquee that offers loaners even for oil changes.

The image the car portrayed as a successful twenty something on Wall street was also something to run like hell from. The one car accident I was in, it seemed to take a lot of effort to convince the responding officer to hear my side of the story, even with a plethora of witnesses.

In the end my fiancee is happier, and so are my damn kidneys. I still have a place in my heart for the Evo and can easily buy one back. However my priorities are on buying a bigger house which should run a good 750k and getting married in June. The Evo just didn't hack it as a daily driver. You definately grow out of it, especially with insane traffic.

My 04 STI had absolutely no issues until 13k miles later, over 150 6k-6.5k launches mostly on the track..... no issues except for the clutch starting to slip towards the end. Enjoy the STI, I actually went to look at a white 06 first but the dealer here pissed me off so I went to the Mitsu dealer haha.... But it was a little late to take my car back to Subaru and let them know their idiot Mgr just cost his salesman a sale. Either car, you can't go wrong.
