i really don't see what's wrong with spending lots of money on your car, especially for quality bar none parts. there's nothing else on the market that beats that downpipe, MAYBE the jspeed one piece dp/o2 because it divorces the gases for longer but that thing is also impossible to take off.

the rnr piece looks like that but not only does it not have a support bracket it is also known not to fit... i think it's all fine. could we get a picture of the dimensions pertinent to the downpipe and o2 housing?

He didn't "immasculate" himself in the least. At least not in my opinion. He was just trying to point out that certain questions directed at certain people can be the equivalent of opening Pandora's Box. Was he wrong?

tomei makes great cams and build great racing engines but mufflers ,dp, etc are to be desired! They often look less than ebay quality!

I saw Warrtalon's reply and knowing that he doesn't believe in spending money on stuff like those on this thread and the way he tends to say things, I just didn't want to see a $hit fight between two people.
As I said, I was rather quick to judge that the pending reply would be rather strongly worded. And if I was proven to be wrong, I apologize in advance and if I was right, then the person asking the question shouldn't be too miffed about it.
I don't think I was gorvelling and there was no intention to. I just didn't want to pi$$ somebody off by telling someone else what their response was going to be, while at the same time wanted to qualify my previous remark.
I'm not kissig Warr's a$$ and I have had a few mini flame wars against him. I just knew that he was going to tell the guy to get mbc, tune etc. for more gain. And that is true.

Very nice parts. IMO I love JDM. I will pay the extra cash, because I can and I like it and Yes it is MO. Everybody is different and if you can afford the JDM and like it then it is your decision!!!!

pics to big.. my dnp, 02 housings looks the same as this one.. but cheaper.. hey if you got the money go ahead... but these parts are to pricey even for me..

dnp O2 housing doesn't have the oem support bracket like the tomei one, which is fine if you are not going to use a tubular manifold. i would probably get an ebay piece and weld a bracket to it.

Just out of interest how much did you pay in total for your DP and O2 housing?

I dont find $500 dollars that exspensive when you compare it to the price of lets say the price of a hks DP and O2 housing also I have been looking around at other brands and they are nearly all around that price.

My sentiments exactly. I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks for JDM parts. But whatever floats your boat and gets the job done. People should not flame others for the choices people make on their parts, especially since it is not their money. If your down for getting the most bang for your buck than JDM is probably not the best way to go (and probably doesn't make any more or less hp). But if you are a JDM ***** like me, you will make sure every part you buy for your car is a high quality JDM piece. I'm not ragging on USDM brands, as there are many ultra high quality USDM parts that could be had for a fraction of the cost. It's hard to justify buying a Mine's turbo outlet housing for $600, when you could essentially buy the exact same thing made by Helix for half that price.

Then why do you do it? The status of having all JDM parts is more important to you than the status of having a much faster car for the same money? Just curious...

Warr could spend 2bucks and run 9's and you could spend 10bucks and run 11's, who cares. If you want to spend more money for quality or because you like the company, do it. Don't let some random guy behind a cpu tell you different, you don't have to take the same path somebody else did if you don't want too. We all have different strides, do what you feel best.

I spent $1000 to run 12.01.

This guy just spent $2800 and will still be below 300whp. That's not including the cost of tuning the Power FC or any installation costs, nor the additional parts still needed to complete the picture. I think the parts he got are very nice, and I think they will all work very well, but can you imagine the elation of spending half as much to go MUCH faster? I would imagine that far exceeds the elation of saying, "my parts that you can't see under my car are Jay-Dee-Emm, yo."

Anyway, this guy PM'd me after my original post, and I helped him out with some future decisions on his car. He had no idea that such things could be bought for so much less with no lack in quality and with just as much of a power gain.
